It was a crap first-half, but since the goal in the second this game has really picked up. Norway are defending with real determination and spirit as Holland try and get back into it. Norway are a lot better than I remember them being.

The Iceland keeper just made a great save - tipping a ball onto the crossbar - from a strong German header.

A great goal from a 2-footed German - took the ball on her right, switched to the left and slotted it home. 1-0.

On a serious note, I do think a few people are curious about the tourney but won't admit to it, and some people might eventually be encouraged to watch a game.

Either way I'm happy to post highlights as and when they occur even if it is for 'nostalgia' later.

They do have a good side and I think they stand a good chance of being in the Final with Germany.

Futurama gag mate. Personally I find it hard to watch women's football. Especially after hearing women say that they are as technically gifted as men. Nothing sexist about it, but the game is slow, the standard (generally) is so poor and just because there are lots of goals, doesn't make it entertaining.

I'm sure many will disagree but that's how I feel. I saw a goal scored for Sweden for no more than 4 yards which was described as a "great finish". Comments like that undermine the women's game itself.

Glad someone mentioned this girl, from watching her at the last women's wc she really was top quality on the ball. If people watched her play when she has one of her good games where she gets on the ball a lot I think they'd be impressed.
