Really is a tough one with Dele...there have been a few times, certainly in the first half of the season where I think he could have done with a rest or a spell on the bench. By no means has he been dreadful, but he isn’t quite getting in the same positions as last season. The diving thing really bothers me though, it is something I despise in the game and he is really getting a negative rep now because of it...

Trouble is though is that you get a hunch that Dele is the one guy with one eye on a Barca/Madrid/Bright Lights move...if we dropped him for 3 games for example, I could really see the media especially spinning all kinds of bullshit that he is too good for our bench and will try force a move somewhere.

I hope I am wrong, but Dele is considered to be the top 5 U21 players in world football, if he doesn’t get what he wants, I could see him leaving for someone that gives him everything he wants

Last year, Vorm played in FA Cup Quarterfinals v. Millwall
Lloris played in Semi-Final v. Chelsea - but, Vorm was out injured.
Vorm started and lost the only League Cup Match (liverpool)

2015/16
Vorm started and lost only League Cup Match (Arsenal)
Vorm started all FA Cup matches - lost to Palace in 5th Round

2014/15
Vorm played all League Cup through Semis - But Lloris played in Final, Vorm on bench
Vorm played all FA Cup matches - lost in 4th Round.

So, there is precedent to Lloris coming in - from Poch's first season, but not until the final. I think this year, Vorm plays if we make the final - but I could see where Poch brings Lloris back into the line-up.

History tells us what might happen in the future. But it also tells us what went wrong in the past. If Lloris had played in some of those Cup games that we lost, then we might not have lost those game. And who knows how far we'd have gone?

This is a particularly important season us as it sets us up for the new season in the new stadium. A Cup victory this season would certainly help to set the right tone for the 2018-2019 season. This would best be accomplished with Llloris in goal.

On the other hand - Pochettino needs to keep to any agreements that he has with his players.

If he has promised Vorm all the English Cup games (except the Final) then he may very well have to keep to it.

The question is - has he made such a promise?

Only undroppable player IMO is Harry Kane anyone else underperforming regularly I'd drop.
Kane even when he is underperforming can come up and win a game for us I mean against Palace he was not at his best but still won us the game because he never gives up and always finds himself in the right position.
You beat me to it! Kane is the only one undroppable in my book and only because we have no one else near his quality in his position. However it seems that Poch does not agree with me based on his selection at times when certain players are off form.

Dele is a key member of our first XI and starts pretty much every game for a reason. It's not that Poch is not brave enough, it is that Poch knows a lot more about football than any of us.
I kind of agree with this, but I do get the feeling if Dele was dropped for a while he would maybe kick up a fuss.... could be wrong. Don’t know the guy personally. Even if he is my cousins step son. :)

Kane, Verts, Lloris, Eriksen, Dembele.

Only this 5 are undroppable.

And in that order.

If everyone was fit I;d have Eriksen second behind Kane. I do not think Lloris is that droppable these days.

Id like to think that Poch thinks that keep playing will see him return to his form of last year He is still an excellent player even if not at his best

GKs rarely get injured/rotated

Rose when fit is the best LB in the league where rotation with Davies is vitally important. One is valued at next to nothing and the other valued at 50m
Davies would fetch a lot more than next to nothing now mate!

Have a little faith in our boi.

If that is how far his loyalty to the team and willingness to fight for his place extends I'm pretty sure Poch will get rid sooner rather than later anyway. He doesn't seem like a manager who would be held to ransom by his players to me.

I'd say Kane is our best player. Kane or Dembele is really the only answer to that question.

Eriksen is by far our most important player though. He's the only player currently in the squad where if he got hurt we couldn't replace. If he got seriously hurt our season would be over.
I agree to a large extent with this, however i am hoping that Lamela and Moura will provide the creativity in the team should Eriksen be out for any time.

I really don't see this, but a lot of people share your opinion so i'm being a little controversial. If Eriksen gets injured we have Lamela that can slot into his preferred CAM position and then we have the delight of choosing, Son, Dele and Lucas as the two positions either side.

The only two players that we can't really replace and would be massive misses to this team are Kane and Dembele, our replacements don't really come close in replicated what these two bring to our starting 11.
