I wouldnt mind Parker, but I'm still hoping Sandro arrives in 2010. If they both arrive I feel it will be the end of Jenas

if we sell bentley, what proper cover have we got for lennon?

Is Bentley proper cover? He hasn't done anything to suggest this. Modric, Kranjcar, even Rose, all wide players who appear to be ahead in the queue for one of the two wide positions.

If we get Parker and Sandro (even if it is in summer) then I too think its the end for Jenas, and im glad. I liken him to getting aroused, thinking yes i like this, but then nothing gets fulfilled lol. Also did anyone find out why he wasn't in the squad saturday, hopefully he was in talks somewhere.

Parker would be a good addition, esp for away games when we need to defend a lead.He would of been ideal against everton when we was 2up.

Still hope we sign Sandro.:)

So Parker would cost the same as or more than Bentley? I could understand us buying Parker off them but not selling Bentley to them, they don't have any money do they?

Would Levy do this as he paid so much money for Bentley? I can't see him selling unless there is a cluase like Bent's to have the fee rise to a decent amount to recoup a big % of what we paid for him.

How old is Parker and isn't he on huge wages? I don't know if we should destroy our wage structure for a guy who might just be a backup to Palacios and Huddlestone.

Not that I wouldn't see the value in the deal if we get him for the right money and he can stay healthy.

Noone has said anything about the price, or that Bentley is going to Westham.

Just that Bentley going could leave room for Parker to come in

getting rid of bentley would be the same as managing to sell on a very bad debt...damage limitation...so in the event that we managed a swap for supposition for Parker, we get shot of someting that cost us circa 15m but is worth god knows what but arguabley a lot less than what we paid and then get in a player who, whilst older and does have a few injuries, would probably give the club 10m quids worth of value in terms of a playing return...so in the long run we lose 5m quid on bentley...but hey who knows......

Are you seriously suggesting Scott Parker is the Rolls Royce, you've got to be kidding!! I am sorry but if we want top four we must be looking at a higher calibre of player. We read the name, look at his former clubs (this is for any player linked to us) and we automatically think he's a good player. West Ham is Parkers level, flopped at Chelski, flopped at Newcastle. More of a Ford Fiesta in my opinion.

We need a player like Parker. Personally I would prefer Gojko Kacar, Moussa Sissoko or Mohamed Diame, but I can see why Redknapp would go for Parker.

Also Parker relates to Thunderbirds!

No, noone is saying that Parker is a Rolls Royce

Rolls Royce is used as a clue to who the player is.

Lady Penelope drove a pink Rolls Royce, and her butler was names Parker.

Yeah, he's rubbish. Thankfully we have Danny Rose, though. :-|

I'd be reluctant to call you a WUM on the evidence of two posts but firstly asserting Parker is anything other than an excellent footballer (seriously, it might be painful but watch the spammers this season - he's been majestic. They'd already be down but for him) and then compounding the issue by saying Danny Rose and Gio are better than Ashley Young... well, it's baffling isn't it? I've heard more compelling arguments from a cement mixer.
