I personally dont see the problem with getting sissoko or whoever for big money, tested or not. It's fine with me as long as the player knows that he needs to flight for his place or earn it. Man utd have carrick, hargreaves, anderson, scholes, fletcher, and gibson fighting for the cm roles. They spent big money on carrick, hargreaves and anderson with the last two names untested in thr premiership but they reaped from it.
Chelscum also have big money signings fighting for berths at CM.
So spending big money really isnt such a big deal. It shows you've got ambition and 'd like my team to show plenty of!
Yes we've got a good squad now who can perform and win games but doesnt mean we should be content. No yet at least.
