Not sure if this has any importance but Babel said on his twitter that he's not in the squad for the game tomorrow and has no idea why Rafa has left him out.
lmao what really makes people think Pav would scores loads for the scousers
seriously Pav aint that good a complete soft touch with no workrate he'd be as out of place at liverpoo as scheva was with cheatski
Babel on the other hand could be a useful option because of his pace and dribbling ability not to mention he's younger and actually speaks English
I think you're judging Pav really rather unfairly there - just because he's not made it at the Lane, it doesn't instantly mean he's got no skill, he's a very accomplished striker who, once settled amongst the right squad, will no doubt start chalking up the goals and i totally agree with guy and others who have said it would be nuts to offer such a close rival in the league any kind of opportunity to make their squad stronger.lmao what really makes people think Pav would scores loads for the scousers

I think it is more about what the deal would give each team. Losing Pav wont weaken us, but we are unlikely to use Babel much either. We have at least 3 wide players who would be picked ahead of him, and the same with the forwards.
However, Liverpool would be getting a player who would fill an niche in their starting 11. There is no guarantee that Pav would succeed there, but he would at least get a chance as he's better than any other cover they have for Torres.
Better for us to leave this deal well alone. Leave Liverpool to find another striker rather than provide a possible temporary solution to their problem.
