Seriously... Stoke City over Spurs. I'd rather sit on the bench at Tottenham than play games for Stoke, World Cup this year or not.

With the lack of goals we've scored of late i'd stick him straight in the team. He's got to know that if he isn't playing well he'll get dropped. I'd like to see him and Defoe up front to see how they do.

To be fair, even I'd be pretty confident getting a game up front for Stoke.

Van Nistelrooy would be first choice at Spurs, IMO.

If we can't convince him to join us over Stoke then I give up, what a humiliating thing that would be, laughing stock of the Premier League once again.

I agree, he would be a natural first choice alongside either JD or Keane. For me, the jury is still out on whether Crouch is actually as essential as Harry made him out to be. Yes, it gives defences headaches when it comes to deciding how to cover him but his first touch is looking limp recently and it still drives me nuts that, despite being eye to eye with the BFG, he STILL looks rather ineffective when the ball is in the air.

Also, if Harry can't convince him that Tottenham is the better option then Harry himself will go well down in my estimates, I thought this was where Harry was in a league of his own, I wouldn't wanna have to face the media if I failed to attract a world class player over Stoke City FC, I'd rather resign and retire.

Redknapp didn't sign Pav, that's the problem with that one. Not one of "the Elite", it seems.

If he is anything like he used to be, he'd probably be the best player at the club. He had reached a level that none of our players have come close to.

Well, playing time or not, the fact that he would consider Stoke over us doesn't speak well to our pulling power.

Nobody in their right mind would choose Stoke City over Spurs. Everything goes against them compared to us. Club, finances, location, history. He'd be mad.

Well, playing time or not, the fact that he would consider Stoke over us doesn't speak well to our pulling power.

Not so much, you can see how a professional football hitting the latter part of his career just wants to play, his had his medals and glory days, now i would imagine he cares more about just getting games - which is why i really want him. If he wanted the easy route he'd choice a big European club and sit on the bench counting his cash.

I don't think the jury is out per say, he is a valuable player for our squad who can play an important part in some games.

His role is to make a nuisance up front with his height, and we can pretty much ping long balls at his head from defence and then have him set up play for Defoe, Lennon, Modric etc....

This is a very useful role, and works very well at certain times against certain teams.

But Crouch is, and never has been, a guaranteed first choice striker.

I can't honestly think of one game where the long-ball-to-Crouch has paid off
