I dont understand why people always jump the gun and think they know better than the management on who will improve us. Lets see... Harry wanted Bellamy, no one here did, he goes on to do really well for city. Harry wanted Dunne, everyone here hated the idea, he goes on to be immense for Villa. Harry wanted Viera, everyone here thought it was an insane idea, City go on to sign him.

I don't understand why people can't see this is a good move.
Why is this a good move?

If you've explained it somewhere else point me in the right direction to save you repeating yourself.

Hmmm, an experienced player with winners' medals. Nah, give me a that kid from Barcelona who we bought for cheap that is well good on Championship Manager.

I can't believe he's not being masochistically wanked over; he's got two foreign names. If you ignore the "John" bit.

(Great signing, if it happens).

I think we have to get our heads around the fact that he's not coming as an out and out striker - more of a Stephen Ireland type player.

Versatility is key, he can play off the front man if needed, as a front man, or as a winger. I'd rather we sign him on a 2 year deal than a loan though.

I can't think of many players who A would sign for us and B has the ability, skill, intelligence, experience and leadership that he will bring.

I dont have a problem with Gudjohnson, i've always liked him. But i'm not so sure he is what we need. Harry has done great in the transfer window though, and he has a history with players like Gudjohnson. At the end of the day, Pav is hardly playing and Gudjohnson will only add to what we have. We need more experience and he comes across as a good pro. The sort of character we need in the team atm.

I just hope we can pull out a surprise signing and get a quick attacking player aswell. With Lennon out we really lack penetration at times.

as long as we sell a forward its a good deal

gudjohnson has the ability to play behind the striker and has played on the wings (although he is getting on a bit now)

i think its a gud signing (hohohoehhehe) but like many have said a few years too late

He's still going to West Ham, we're just being used so he can milk as much money out of them as possible.
