And The Mirror...

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Tottenham-set-to-sell-Robbie-Keane-to-Sunderland-and-keep-hold-of-Birmingham-target-Roman-Pavlyuchenko-article305387.html

"Spurs last night categorically told Birmingham that Roman Pavlyuchenko is not for sale and they plan to sell Robbie Keane to Sunderland. Brum had their latest bid of £10million for Russian Pavlyuchenko, 28, rejected by the White Hart Lane club last night. But Tottenham are willing to flog striker Keane to the Black Cats after bringing in Eidur Gudjohnsen on loan. And it will complete a brief second stint at Spurs for Keane, 29, who only returned from Liverpool a year ago."

I'd be happy, as long as we got a decent price. Gudjohnson to replace him until the summer than some real talent in!

I would be more unhappy to let Keane go if I felt that he was a difference maker on the field. I know that he has fallen behind defoe/crouch but when he comes on i don't see him providing that old spark - taking on defenders, scoring goals etc. He needs something to happen to get his old confidence back.

Would be odd selling him considering Harry loves his attitude and spirit, which seems to rub off on the squad.

But, sadly, he isn't the same player this season. Gotta find a way to fix that because Keano is a fantastic premier league player

case in point today when he came on we had a breakaway and rather than taking on their defenders and ripping them to shreds as he would have done 18 months ago, he slowed it down, let them regroup and passed backwards... he has lost the spark he once had and I cant see him getting it back anytime soon...

Or, given that (according to Monaco's website anyway) we have an option on him, sign him up at the end of the season if he has done well enough to warrent it until then?

As for this ITK, I wouldn't be thrilled to see Keane leave, though I know many on here would be. However, I'd understand it, from both our perspective and his, and I would both thank him for the good he has done for our club, he is undoubtedly a Spurs hero, as well as wish him well.

Having said all that, I'd still be surprised to see him leave now.

This had midnight on the final day of the window written all over it. At least the replacement has already signed so it doesn't really matter either way.

Would be a good signing for Sunderland. They desperately need some character right now.

Ya, he should have done what Bale did against Leeds last week...

I actually applauded him for that manoeuvre; he had a hell of a lot to do to get near the goal and he sensibly kept possession.

Now if the Goat was there usual source then i'd expect it to be nailed on but seeing as you say its nit the usual source I must take this with a pinch of salt.

What would that mean for Pavlyuchenko though? If we sold both then we'd surely sign another.....
