Some people are thinking this, 11 million Euros is about 9 million which is about what we are paying for him

which works out roughly as GBP 11m over four years,
Which, assuming you get paid evenly every week over those four years works out at about GBP 52k p/w

Seeing as he came from Real Madrid I would expect him to be in line with our highest earners, possibly having taken a bit of a drop in wages. If the talk of 44k is anywhere near true then he's a bargain wages wise as well. Unbelievable as it is that someone requiring £44,000 a week in wages could be considered cheap.
