I quite rate this fella. Would be a good move at not a bad price.

I know we were linked with him before he signed for City but to be fair i was not that impressed with him in his first season.

To me he is one of those players that would suit the italian style of play more then the premiership.

Quality player, don't believe for a second that City is looking to move him on or that they would accept such a low fee though.

This makes sense considering we are desperate to flog Kaboul leaving us with very minimal defensive cover. However it does seem to suggest that ledley won't be plaing too amny games next season. I hope not though

I don't rate him as RB, not good enough one for that position in EPL.
as CB, I don't see enough for him.

I'm stisfied with Zokora/Smith as 3rd and 4th option for RB, plus Huddlestone/Zokora for CB.

Would love to see all of this money saved to sign Arshavin or signing good CB.

would be a very good signing, especially for a relatively small fee. And if we can get that money back from selling kaboul then its all good and no money outlayed

He's a good player and would be a good aquisition (sp?), but why the hell would City want to sell him?

Artlicle says he's wantig to play CB, and he's down the pecking order at City in the position with Dunne, Richards, Onuoha and Ben-Haim.

Seems plausible enough to me

Corluka is quality. So calm and poised on the ball for a defender. At City he played RB, CB and even defensive midfield:

By the way, Sven always intended on moving him to CB as a long-term solution. Referred to him as "the modern day CB", someone who could actually play the ball out instead of just someone to boot it out of touch on every occasion.

I'd be very happy with this signing he could do a job and fits in withthe Ramos policy of covering more than 1 position

Better than Hutton at right-back

That's about as spot on as my opinion as an 11 year old that John Scales was better than Sol Campbell. Maybe at being less of a ****, but that's about it :)

Corluka has absolutely 100% got nothing on Alan Hutton at full-back. Corluka from what I've seen is a centre-back who can simply cover at right-back (despite City's insistance on playing right-backs and centre-backs the wrong way around - also see Micah Richards).

If he signs it'll be as a CB unless we need him to cover RB. I just hope it's not because Hutton's out for longer than we thought.

BOTH Hutton and Corluka are class RB'S! Don't kid yourselves.

Corluka was not "simply cover at right-back", he is class there as he showed by stepping into the EPL without any training at all (signed very late on in the August transfer window), straight into the first 11. As he has been showing for Croatia all through the qualifying and Euros.

That said, I'm sure Ramos envisions him as a CB.
