Sparky's not doing an excellent job of anything yet. He's got in Kompany and possibly Zableta - both unproven in the Premier League - and that's it! They should have gone out of the UEFA Cup at the first hurdle and they've won one and lost one in the League. They're buying players with money they don't have, spending over £40m with nothing coming back in and their benefactor's up on fraud charges and claims a life-long affinity with City despite trying to buy any and every club before settling on them. In fact City are just another money laundry to Thaksin except now he hasn't got any money, lol.

They can't attract players of the same calibre as can we, they don't possess players of the same calibre and they'll probably do worse than us in every competition - that last bit isn't just me btw but thousands of non-supporting Spurs or City folk who think it.

They were shite over two legs against a very weak side and somehow still got through.
It's great listing names of their defenders but where are they all going to play,sticking Kompany in midfield is the answer to one problem then you have Ben Haim,Richards and Dunne all playing in centre back role and Zabaleta at right back will cause problems unless they leave him on the bench because he won't go right mid much with SWP signed so two from Dunne,Ben Haim,Onouha and Richards will sit it out a lot.
Thats before you consider Corluka.
As you point it seems like they are buying anyone they can for now and when the shit hits the fan they can offload a few for profit and still have a half decent team.
