So, part of my educating my Son (5) on Spurs, I thought I'd show him this game. And holy cow - I'd forgotten a lot of the detail.

I hadn't remembered that we were only 1-0 up at half-time, nor that we could / should have been about 6-0 up already. Nor how scintillating Aaron Lennon was, nor the passes from Krancjar and Huddlestone!

For some reason I thought we kinda got lucky and pretty much scored each chance but re-watching that game reminded me almost of a game of FIFA.

Great, great times.

That whole team was full of players that one their day could be world beaters but 9/10 flatter to deceive. This was the game where it all clicked.

Yeah, the memories!! Living in the states I had been watching the prem trying to find a club to follow. I was thinking Spurs at the time but hadn't made up my mind. This match solidified my choice and I have been Spurs ever since!

He's obsessed (as am I) and made me watch the MOTD highlights again. We had 8 clear cut chances, one of which hit the bar and one from Thudd that missed by inches, others brilliant saves by Kirkland in the first half alone. Kirkland made at least 2 other brilliant saves in the second half.

Wigan were lucky to get away with only 9!
