This is my fear. I want to cash in on Vlad as he'll never make it as centre half for us. Just not physical enough, gets beaten too easily in the air.

However, he is much better suited to filling in at RB than Dier. And if it is the case that we're not sure Yedlin is ready then I'd be inclined to hold onto Vlad until the summer too

I have a feeling if vlad goes that will move for sporting Lisbon right back Miguel Lopes. He has been linked before and is available at a cheap price maybe even a loan. Don't think we will bring in another centre back unless kaboul goes. We have jan dier and fazio so if YK stays can't see us bringing another defender in

We have Walker, Dier and Yedlin. I doubt we'll buy another RB.

The MLS regular season ends end of Oct, then you have the play off before the MLS Cup final in early December. Season break is until March when it resumes. Rinse and Repeat

I've got no idea mate. I just know that the original plan was for him to come to THFC in the summer but, for whatever reason, he was brought over in January instead & I'm struggling to understand why that would happen if there's no thought of utilising him in some capacity?

Would personally prefer we wait until the summer at this point. You can go back and look at my posts, but I've been one of the people claiming he should be sold, but Yedlin looks like he's getting the slow introduction to football in England and Chiriches looks like a capable backup to Walker at this time.

Plenty of other players we could sell, though.

You can't hoard players though. That's what the likes of Redknapp and Warnock do and it harms their clubs for years after they've departed.

Selling Chiriches could very likely be the catalyst to being able to bring a new player in. Do you still want to hoard a 5th CB and 3rd RB if it means we can't bring anyone in?

Yes I'm aware of that, but he's come over 6 months earlier than was originally planned, hence my original post about him supposedly coming in the summer.

To be fair, in the original post you said "rather than do as was originally planned, and leave him playing in the MLS until their season ends & he joins us afterwards." which did happen. Not really too sure what we're discussing, as I would agree that we wouldn't have sold Naughton if we didn't plan on using Yedlin at some stage

lol. I agree with almost everything you post, and compared to a lot of what gets posted by others I can assure you that you're not in any danger of that!

Please allow Vlad to leave. The fact is it is doing no good sometimes sitting on our bench. It is time for some clear out of the players we do not want or need I am not actually desperate to sign players. I think we need to trim our squad and if needed use youngsters to fill the holes in our squad then we can analyse what we actually need in the summer.

Thing is, when you look at the youth right now, we need to keep Vlad or bring in a CB, if Kaboul leaves. We have Hall, Ball and Veljkovic on loan and no one else really close to the first team at CB. At CM, we could probably afford to bring one in if 2 leave and use Winks more, at AM, we can recall Pritchard, we have Onomah who can be at CAM or in the CM2, and we have Oduwa at LWF/second striker.
