Think Vlad should stay until the summer TBH. He's currently our second-best right back, and we have two competitions plus a cup final to get through. I doubt Yedlin will see any real pitch time before preseason, nor should he until he is comfortable with the players and the pace of the league, and Dier is better at CB than on the right.

Yeah, can't see him going now. Our best RB as it stands imo.

How fucking mad is that!

From the Italian ilsussidiario.net: "Tottenham will not let Vlad Chiriches leave, who hoped to enter the hypothetical bargain for Destro."

Appears we want many out before any can come in ................

but when push comes to shove no-one ever seems to go. Chiriches, Kaboul and Lennon all seem to have been on point of leaving but don't.

so question is - are we asking too much, others not willing to pay enough or is there just a lot of agent speak at play

Seems like, if I can parse out what he hell google translate did, that Roma have agreed to terms and now all that needs to be done is a fee. Which, if Levy sticks to what he is known best for, shouldn't be a problem for him to come up with a price ;)

A Rome unleashed in these market hours . After officially closed for the arrival of Seydou Doumbia , in fact , the company could define giallorossa with Tottenham by Monday also Chiriches Vlad the deal , which remains the number one goal for the defense of Rudi Garcia . Would have already been found , in fact , already an agreement with the player , available in a transfer to Serie A. Now , it remains to seek agreement with the Spurs before the close of the transfer window , scheduled for 23 Monday . A negotiation that still moves forward , for Rome really unleashed .

Agreeing a deal with a player is relatively easy. Whether Roma want to pay for him is another matter -certainly see no point on a loan to Roma unless they agree a decent fee will be paid in the summer to make the loan permanant .

Think that Roma got to this point in the summer and it stalled as Roma only wanted a cheap loan

If we sell Chiriches then I will be pretty pissed off.
There is a reason why a team who are better than us want him.

He has so much potential.

Not In this league he doesn't. Teams will pump high balls into the box and cause mayhem with vlad at CB

Don't get this one. Yedlin isn't ready and doubt will be until next season, Dier is woeful at RB, Vlad has been ok as backup RB. I'd even prefer him to Kaboul as 4th choice CB.
Unless we're looking to move on both Kaboul and Vlad and bring in a defender able to cover both CB and RB I'd be completely against this.

Is Chiriches in our future plans? No.

Other than League Cup and Europa we're not really fighting for much (we're not going to be top 4), so the absolutely having to have a bonafide Walker backup isn't required. Plus Chiriches makes 2 or 3 mistakes every time he plays regardless of position so he's not some solid backup anyway.

We need to move guys out now to pave way for summer deals. Else we're going to waste the summer window trying to sell them and have no time to bring anyone in.
