Terry Dixon

Following meetings with Terry Dixon, his family and his representatives at which his long term recovery and future well being after an unfortunate sequence of severe injuries were discussed, the Player has now left the club.

The Academy striker, who featured on a number of occasions for our Reserve side, suffered a dislocated kneecap, which ruled him out for the entire 2006-07 season before he was able to return to action at the beginning of this campaign.

The 18-year-old, however, suffered the same injury again in mid-September during an Academy League fixture and underwent further surgery and extensive rehabilitation. We wish Terry every success for the future.

eh? It's obviously his injuries.

2x dislocation of the knee at such an age. No progress in 2 years.... Unfortunately that doesn't bode well for the future.

What a shame. I thought he was meant to be the next Rooney. I wonder if another club will sign him.

Sounds like it's not just injuries but more the symptom or consequence of a chronic weakness that means his body or in particular his knees aren't ever going to be strong enough for him to play football.
Sad thing but better to stop now than keep damaging his knees and crippling himself for the rest of his life.

He was in Steve Stuantons first Rep Ireland full squad over 2 years ago. I sat next to him in the Paxton Road for an Atheltico pre-season game. It was shortly after the first injury and he was feelign positive about it. Said he prefered to sit with the fans while he could still get away with it profile wise. He even sang "we're the Paxton, we're the paxton . We're the Paxton Tottenham"

A dislocated knee cap is probably the worst injury a player can get because it is one that can reoccur.
Unfortunately for Terry Dixon this is exactly what happened and this young lad, that we had such high hopes for,may never play again!

Shame. I really wish the lad well... although if he fully recovers and comes back to haunt us, I wont be so sympathetic. ;)

Very sad news hoped Terry was going to make it to the 1st team. Just like to wish the lad all the best and hope he turns it around.
