They're in the firing line not just of stray passes, but also of players over-running and hitting them. You see some of them with no arms or legs and they look like sitting ducks.

TBH a letter and signed shirt to compensate for a broken wrist.....not good enough. The least they could do is bring the young lad down on a match day, meet the squad, mascot as well.
