They're in the firing line not just of stray passes, but also of players over-running and hitting them. You see some of them with no arms or legs and they look like sitting ducks.

VdV did similar this season warming up, he pelted the ball at goal, missed and it hit a girl in the crowd, he climbed into the crowd and went to see her and apologized, she also got some tickets and a signed shirt if i remember rightly.

I can imagine a number of ladies (including on here) that would be quite happy to take a ball in the face to have VDV come over and tend to them...

TBH a letter and signed shirt to compensate for a broken wrist.....not good enough. The least they could do is bring the young lad down on a match day, meet the squad, mascot as well.
