I know it wasn't a perfect performance but those saying we can't keep getting away with playing with that because we might lose points, fact is when we didn't play this way we did drop points so that argument is a bit flawed.

We need to strike the right balance and I think the key will be getting another midfielder in the team that can pass. Is it any coincidence that our performances have dropped with Lamela out the team? So once we get him fit or Lo Celso fit and we can take Sissoko out because those 2 players provide the right balance between defensive work rate which Sissoko brings and fantastic footballing ability.

Exactly. Honestly the lack of patience and understanding from some is ridiculous.

Some just never learn mind.
You misunderstand Mr Pink, we weren't running smoothly up front today and people were concerned about it and asking why can't we score against teams defending like this. My observation by way of an explanation is that Son Kane and Bale isn't working....yet.
I'm sure you believe they'll get better together too.

I'm perfectly calm I'm just giving my observation, sounds like you agree, it'll take time.
Nope. What you said is that it isn’t working. You then mused about whether to add yet. Either way, it is a ridiculous conclusion to draw from one game (or even less than that as Bale didn’t play 90). That’s not the same as saying it will take time, which I and everyone else agrees with

Surprised to see the amount of stick in here for the performance. Thought we played pretty well. Very strong defensively, created lots of situations a few clear chances. Kept believing the goal would come and it did. Great away win.

So much fury in this thread after that win
Lot of hangovers and having to get up early lol.
Seriously though that was a fkin God awful shit performance. No shots on target (and barely any off target) in the first half against a bottom 3 team with a front 3 of Son, Kane and Bale!!!
I mean wtf??? Of course people are angry.

19 shots
5 on target

I mean it wasn’t vintage by any stretch of the imagination, but let’s not exaggerate here.

They've had barely any playing time as a trio.

I would of thought that was obvious mate.

After a half a dozen games I'd be concerned, not after one in the league.

I'm not concerned, it wasn't working no doubt for the reasons you give.

Yep. It is what I said and you are right Bale went off and we got it together better from then on.
People were concerned about why we couldn't break down their defence, that was my observation.
What is your problem?

I feel we mustn't look too much into todays performance. The fact hat we pulled out a win was good. The KO time is bonkers, our schedule is too much and the 11 keeps changing so momentum is stifled. Our performances changed for the worse after the last international break so hopefully change for the better after this. Its all good stuff at the moment.

I don’t have a problem. You said Bale, Son and Kane wasn’t working and I said that’s a ridiculous judgement to make, which it is. You then said they need time which I agreed with. The only issue is you seem to be claiming you didn’t say that, when it’s on the thread for all to see

It wasn't working, it was disjointed and if you agree it needs time then I guess you agree with that.
You seemed to think I was having a go at them, I wasn't.

You've had that bottled up for a while. O shudder to think what you would be thinking if we weren't 2nd in the league.

Absolutely no different. If I don't like it I'll say it, win lose or draw and no matter where we are in the table.

Most though would be singing a very different tune if a couple more moments had gone against us. Kane doesn't head it off the line at Burnley, West Brom keeper/defender don't have a mix up today, etc. Fine and fickle margins.
