Thats pretty much what I was like in the pub last night, everyone wanted us to lose and saying how Burnley deserved it and we deserved to go out. We have been in that position before countless times, fuck it, we are at Wembley and I couldnt care less about Burnley or anyone else! COYS

I was thinking this earlier actually. There's been so many games down the years where we've deserved to batter teams and ended up losing or drawing, so it was a bit sweet that 'win' last night.

If you look at the stats it was a fairly even game ......apart from the number of shots on target we created enough to bury them.

That is true, I was very surprised how even the game was just by looking at the stats. But we can't all forget how our players were playing like they didn't give a shit. :bang:

I had the thought after the game that sooooo many times i've seen a goal go in against us in the dying moments, or a dodgy decision changes the balance for the worst.
Well, it was nice to get it the other way round last night. Sure they bossed the game, but as others have said "Fuck 'em, i'm off to Wembley again"

when you look at it - we lost the away leg by the odd goal, the same as Manure
we won the home leg 4-1 one better than Manure - therefore we are better than manure!!!!

we pretty much only played well for 22 minutes out of the 210 mins of the tie
end of the day however bad we played we managed to score 6 goals in that short space of time

i feel bad for burnley but end of the day we are going back to wembley so

HAPPY DAYS

i really hope burnley come up though , think they have a great team and a good young manager .... good luck to them

It was a fairly even contest, half of the tie being played in horrendous conditions and with a pumped up home crowd. That Premiership 'thing' saw us through.

As Danny Blanchflower said 'everything in our favour was against us'

I remember going up to Newcastle in 04/05 season in the cup, conceded an early goal then laid their goal under siege for the rest of the game, hit every part of post and bar, Given played a blinder and the ref was just blind. We lost 1-0.

Y'know, it's football.

Burnley were lucky, their best chance by Ekotto and their 1st goal was mistake by our 3rd or 4th best GK at the club, they were only better between the 2nd goal in 73' and the third goal, but still no real chances as Harry said in post match.

we also missed golden chance by Bale when it was 1-0, as we Roman 2-0, we also created in extra time and deserve to score.

IMO Burnley deserved their win but not for 3-0... so we deserved our final without any doubt, I'm honest man, we were lucky vs Arsenal ( and we hate them ) and Liverpool but we weren't vs Burnley. any reporter who said Bunrley were unlucky, showed his feel for Burnley because they in the championship and were 3-0 .. but if we swaped the GKs .. it would be like 5-0 for us lool !

TBH I don't think we were that bad. We went to not lose the game, their first goal was a cock up by the 'keeper, their second was a good goal and the third, well at home could have been called a foul on the 'keeper. You play to the final whistle over 90 or 120 minutes we did that and got the result. We didn't put out the team that we will at Wembley.

If and a big if we win, in 30 years time no one will care how we got there on the trophy it will say "2009 Tottenham Hotspur"

We are in the final if we deserve to be or not.

But you dont think we were that bad??? Did you actually see the game????

Made our performance V Wigan away the other week look half decent!
