I would love Levy to fcuk off but what we messaging? Thanks for setting some of the best infrastructure in football but can you fcuk off for not spending?
Is he stealing money? Is he being too prudent?
The message is Levy can f*ck off for lying to managers, and lying to fans through the media output from the club when Conte was appointed - and now when they're trying to concoct a reason to remove him other than their lack of ambition.
Why hire Conte and deliberately work against him? It was Levy's desperate move to save his bacon after Nuno and the chaos of the previous summer, and he thought he could fob him off and undermine him at our expense.
Or is he not convinced by Conte's style and the two are at loggerheads on transfer direction?
We've not seen the Conte style because we're being made to play his wing back system without his wing backs and centre backs.
Fobbing Conte off with Spence against his wishes was a typical Levy move.
Good signing for the future if you've got another £30-50m to buy the starting RWB he asked for. Ridiculous interference if you haven't.
Thanks @Hercules for the information. I take it in good faith, though I've no idea what to make of it without specifics. Which I totally understand you can't share.
All I'll say is there is enough I can see with my own eyes that Levy needs to be gone.
I say this as a former BSODL in the early 2010s. I understood the goal and project entirely. Since the Stadium build, it's all gone to shit. His and fans interests were only aligned because he wanted our money to pay for a capital project to boost his own net worth. That's fine, good luck to him, he did a very difficult project well, and should have left then for his legacy.
He has nothing to offer the club now but undermining football managers, and taking down the club's reputation along with his.
Who is going to come to us after he undermines Poch? And Why? For what reason would a top manager with ambition and options touch us now?
So I'm fully onboard with getting him out. Hard to do as a minority shareholder, but not impossible.
