Great game. 'Pool were gifted 3 goals but fair play they scored 2 other good goals.

Gotta admit I'm incredibly jealous of watching Suarez and Sturridge up front for them, two very dynamic, pacey and skilful goalscorers.

What?

Are you serious?

Yep. Everyone used to go mental when AV B made a defense sub when we were one goal up. Subsequently everyone was happy when Tim made an attacking change when one goal up.

This leads me to surmise that people like attacking subs when defending a lead.

Ronaldo, Messi, Bale, Suarez, Rooney, Hazard - World class players change games and can often hide a multitude of sins.

I think you might want to go back and read some of the threads, starting with Southampton, people were going ballistic when brought Defoe on!

It's hard to admit it, but Suarez is the best footballer on the planet at the moment. Messi's lack of fitness in the last 9 months has something to do with that, but his skills all around are simply incredible (that last ball to Sturridge was outrageous).

I actually enjoy watching him play - he makes football great to watch again.

I'm not hating on him or Liverpool for having him - I wish he was at our club but he simply raises the bar which we have to bring the standard of our football up to

We can still finish above Liverpool because I think once our players are fit and firing to their potential we have more collective talent but they have Suarez who is a player who would have graced any Spurs team I've ever seen

There is no way Suarez will still be at Liverpool next season, Real will already be eyeing up a front 3 of Ronaldo, Bale & Suarez.

Fuck everything. We always get fucking screwed. What the fuck do you have against us, football gods? You ****s! Can something just go our way just once? FUCK!

You need to lay off the steroids.

If they can finance such a deal and stay within the FPP (or don't care about FPP) then they would be mad not to go all our for Suarez the same way they went for Bale

If Liverpool fail to attain CL football and Real turn on the pressure he will force his move no doubt - espeically if Real throw Benzema in the mix as a sweetener to Liverpool

fair play to liverpool... some bang average players but they put in proper work rate and effort .. no wonder sherwood keeps banging on about it. we would have got battered at stoke . no doubt about it.

like dembele said today spurs really need to up their game if they want 4. no question.. swansea is massive game considering we have man city after that ... liverpool will batter villa and have the merseyside derby after that so pressure is on.

Na Villa will be on a massive high after battering Arsenal for the second time this season and beat Liverpool too as a result

People go on, usually through bitterness or jealousy, that were just a one man team, but, as you have highlighted here, Sturridge is just as important to us as Suarez is. Even last season with how good Suarez was, if he took away all his goals we still would have finished 7th anyway.

Our record with Suarez is more or less just as good as our record without him (this season and last season) because we have Sturridge to pick up the slack. Suarez missed 5 games this season and we were fine and right up there when he returned from his ban. Sturridge missed 9 games and we weren't too bad either (missed him more than Suarez imo due to the fixtures he missed).

So long as we have at least one of them fit we seem to be able to still pick up the points more often than not. Sakho and Henderson are just as important to us in terms of the difference one individual makes to the team if they are missing.
