Pritchard scored another free-kick for Swindon for the equaliser with Port Vale. They are now 3-2 up, having been 2-0 down at HT.

I think we're at least three players short of that level right now. We need a creative midfielder that can control games, a new LB, and unless Soldado finds his La Liga form, a top class striker.

The problem is that even if we get Van Gaal and he can attract one or two of those types of players, we'll probably lose one or two of Verts, Sandro, and Lloris. Once again it will be a case of one step forward, two steps back.

To be perfectly honest I think the level of football Levy and ENIC have brought to Spurs has peaked. I'm learning to accept that 5th or 6th is about as much as we can hope to achieve in the foreseeable future, barring a billionaire buyout. We had our opportunity to push on, and didn't (or couldn't) take it.
If Van Gaal becomes our manager then I don't think Lloris and Jan will leave us. He's got the reputation to get us a few coups in the transfer market as well. That's why he's my first choice, we need to be building on what we already have, not constantly replacing and exchanging players.

Sunderland are now deep in trouble, West Ham look like they have found a little bit of form at the right time. City could be about to slip!

THIS THE THING THAT PISSES ME OFF

We have 6/7 CMs and yet our first choices cant do this. I think we have to wait for Eriksen now. We fucked up in the summer. We shouldn't of signed Capoue and Chadli, and signed Koke and only signed Eriksen if, we got rid of Holtby and/or Siggy

Yep. If we can improve the team instead of shuffling the pack again, there's every reason to be optimistic about next season.

We all know we won't though.

Still 0-0 and City not looking likely, i swear Yaya hasn't moved outside of a 20 yard circle, looks totally disinterested!

Norwich should have scored 3 times in the last minute!
Do you think their confidence has been affected by being beaten by Chelsea or is it just a bit of complacency?

How did Jovetic play?

Played an hour and he was ok, but that was it for City, ok!

Yaya was a joke, didn't get forward at all, stood watching half the time whilst Milner his CM partner today ran his bollocks off!

Why with 20 minutes to go would you take of Negredo and bring on Kolorov when you need au goal?

Also Pelligrini who usually stands on the line never moved from his chair, just sat there the whole game!

Massive weekend for Chelsea and pool. No one doubts the mental fortitude of Chelsea, which is part of why they are horrible people generally and horrible to watch most of the time. But arsenal and city have to take a look in the mirror now and decide if they can battle back with a streak of wins.

As for Liverpool, I think they are the indirect cause of a lot of our angst this season. We were streets ahead of them for a few years. Then the former Jose underlings, AVB and Brendan, entered the season in competition with each other. Unfortunately, Liverpool stood firm when Suarez wanted to leave, while we asked how high we could jump when bale wanted to leave. Then AVB lost the battle with Brendan resoundingly by going negative/boring and trying to shore up midfield with possession-based tedium. Brendan doubled down on 'goals win games' and decided he could live with some average midfielders and defenders so long as he had top class options going forward. Somehow we're close to them, but there's no doubting who is more entertaining and putting teams to the sword, even if they slip up from time to time. It's a bit of a sickener.

Very strange stuff. I don't care if they have a few injuries either.
