I have concluded that it is a really awful place to watch football, particularly where it is your home ground. Sure it looks pretty impressive and looks good on telly but it was designed with zero thought towards the fan experience - really hope we're learning lessons for the new WHL.

Said it last night, we need another option for next season. Playing home league games there in front of a half full stadium will be terrible.

Lots of Wembley hate on here - but the lack of atmosphere was a direct result of the poor performance, and the performance was not down to playing at Wembley. We have only played well once this season - the other games have had flashes of last seasons Spurs without the consistency and persistence of last season.
Both of the games we have lost were down to poor defensive errors, and going forwards our poor movement, lack of directness and some simply woeful passing. Nothing to do with Wembley - just a continuation of our recent form.
I actually think the atmosphere at Wembley has been quite good when we have had something to sing about.

First time at the new Wembley last night

It's big and surrounded by food and shopping "opportunities" but it was very disappointing. Like others have said it really is a soulless place. You feel very distanced from the action, the stadium has no personality or warmth about it

Can see the atmosphere would be better when divide 50-50 between two sets of fans, but then so would every other stadium.

The lack of atmosphere is partly performance but also down to the Fact that the main areas of WHL are all over the place at Wembley, much the same as West Ham. We need to learn from this for next season, get everyone together in one area to create an atmosphere otherwise it will be shit every game next season. If we beat CSKA 4.0 next match I dont think it will improve a whole lot

It will be even worse when we most likely have to play EL there later in the season.

I woukd hope we can go back to the Lane tbh. Atleast we can see one more European night there before the bulldozers come in. I am certain we would be qualifying if we had played our games at WHL

It's got to the point where I'm hoping we abandon the Wembley thing and go to Milton Keynes. Purely from a selfish point of view because the ST amnesty will kick in and I won't go back to the bottom of the queue when the new stadium is finished. Don't fancy a season at Wembley at all.

Wembley is such a bastard place to get to, it took me 3 hours 20 minutes to drive there, and only an hour and 45 minutes to get home.

And the atmosphere is shit compared to the Lane.

I'd rather play at Wheatsheaf Park in front of 2.5k than play a whole season at Wembley.

Plus it's just down the road from me. :sneaky:

I think we should scrap the season at Wembley and go to Milton Keynes. It probably easier for me to get to south London from Milton Keynes anyway. Wembley will be awful with 50k in

MK works perfectly for me as I'm only 10 mins drive away.
Can dump the wife & kids at Bounce while I go to the game, then a choice of restaurants or the cinema straight after.

However, move to MK and there's not a hope in hell of me getting a ticket via General Sale, and slim chance if I take a membership.
