Well you've got the balaclavas....
As I left Wembley on Saturday, feeling the effects of an adrenalin rush after watching Spurs win a NLD and then shouting in the face of an arrogant steward who made me walk 30 yards to go for a piss rather than use the toilets he was stood in front of, I told my dad I was going to miss Wembley once we'd left it. Before the season started, i was dreading playing here every other week. I didn't like the shite food they have on offer in the bars, or the fact the local shop owners try to mug you off by charging you a tenner for four cans of Budweiser. Or the queuing on Wembley Way that seems to last for hours. However, I'll always appreciate the soulless giganto-dome for allowing me to go to my first North London Derby, and seeing us win also. So, cheers to you, you gigantic red bastard
Although I hate the journey to and from, I've managed to get to 11 games this season. And I have tickets for Newcastle and Juve, and will most likely get tickets for the remaining games. I know it'll be tougher to get tickets next year so I'm making the most of it!
I wouldn't worry too much. The stands will be much closer to the action next season.Part of me is gonna miss Wembley, I have great seats at a very reasonable price, i’m certain my seats won’t be anywhere near as good next season. It is also some sight when you see 80k spurs fans and the atmosphere has been good on the big games. I also love the fact that I can get home in 30 mins.
I think it might be ok actually.
Has your dad not got a st?
NWHL will be pretty bad getting in and out like Wembley imoGetting to Wembley for a mid week fixture is a pain in the backside, but getting home is usually quicker than getting home from WHL was, as long as the M25 is'nt shut.
Won't miss being herded like cattle down Wembley way towards Wembley Park station, but on the whole this season at Wembley has'nt been too bad.
Depends how frequent trains through WHL and Northumberland Park are going to be I think. If those 2 plus Seven Sisters tube can provide something akin to Wembley Park/Stadium/Central in terms of frequency then I imagine the crowds will dissipate surprisingly quickly.NWHL will be pretty bad getting in and out like Wembley imo
After I broke up with my ex I thought fuck it, I'm going to do things i enjoy even if it's doing it by myself. Best thing I've done!
Nah, I'm the only one that really goes to games now. My dad used to get invited to boxes and lounges a few times a season, and he'd take me and my brother to the odd match. Now I just go by myself!
