Wembley Pub - Semi Final

When I went to the Carling cup final against Chelsea a couple of years back we were given the Torch pub! It was brilliant!

Sadly for this game they have given it to pompey! What pub will everyone be using in Wembley or is there one just outside that us Yids will be frequenting?

We have 11 of us going up to the game and need somewhere to park and wet our whistles! lol :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

Yep, I'll be at the Greyhound again.

Once I've got over this throat infection, not made any better by shouting at the semi final ticket website when it kicked me out repeatedly this morning, I'll phone them up to confirm.

Get there early is my advice, they were operating a one in one out policy from quite early on last season.

Getting a pint wasn't that bad.

Going for a piss wasn't a particularly pleasant experience.

I went too late last time had to be Johnny No Mates in some random pub/bar, can't even remember the name. Will the Greyhound deffo be Spurs this time?

The one up the hill? The Green Man, went there for a swift one to meet a mate before heading to the GreyHound last year.

Yeah I think it was The Green Man hotel, really big empty space at the front, a few police and a beer whenever you wanted one!!
We went to The Greyhound first phoned a mate who got a round in but 4 of us couldn't get in the pub loads of police and they stopped people going in about 2 hours before the game.
Best bet is take your own as in Wembley they had a 5 pints at a time pouring machine that was managing to trickle a pint every 5 mins.

Going for a piss wasn't a particularly pleasant experience.

Bloody hell it was traumatic in there...and that was before anyone had actually been in there.

The first time I went in I ended up chatting to a bloke who said he hadn't seen any of the games before the final because he'd just got out of prison. Nice.

Just had a look it wasn't The Green Man it was the Quality Hotel a big concrete building but only a short walk to the ground.

Are we dreaming... Spurs supporters saying which time at Wembley are we talking about!!

I drank in the Torch in 1973 against Norwich in the LCF.

Bit naughty really as I was only 17 and had never been kissed.

Yeah, lovely lady who was a lifelong yid took over as manager, I had a good old chat to her a couple of days before the game.

Anyone know If 'The Torch' is Tottenham for the pompey game?

The one i went too, was a sports bar i think. It had a pretty big garden and was all spurs. Cant remember what it was called :think:.
