To break it down we're getting £13.6m for finishing fourth, which could go up to £14.4m if we clinch third.

We've also been given £2m for getting to the Champions League as well as £2.5m for the two qualifiers.

Happy days!

**UPDATE**

I've just seen a BBC article which claims clubs each club will be given £14.6m for UK TV rights plus £500,000 for every game shown on TV and each club is guaranteed to be shown at least 10 times.

PLUS £10.1m from overseas broadcast rights plus another £2m from sponsorship and licensing deals.

So it takes the new figure to £49.8m without Champions League TV revenue and group stages included!

I think he means we would have had 12.8 million anyway for finishing 5th. Sensible post.

Which would be £5.3m better off finishing 4th than 5th going by the figures in the OP.

Liverpool made £19m from their Champions League "run" alone, 2 qualifiers and 6 group games - Prize money/TV money/Gate money etc

Utd made £32m by getting to the quarter finals.

That's a lot of money, the question is does that money not go back into players wages/bonuses/stadium development etc.

If it goes on the transfer kitty then we have an exciting summer ahead me thinks.

I just hope, and am very confident, that Levy can find the balance between developing the squad and financing the stadium. Long-term, that new stadium is a must. The scum have been struggling for a few seasons, but eventually they will be financially on another planet to us.

It' not really a minimum of £49M though is it? What if we lose the qualifier? We won't, but how much would we get if we did?

That doesn't include the group stages. Thats how much we get from the Premier League + qualifying round.
