OK - a bit off topic...I coach an U8's team and our results have had a direct correlation with Spurs results for the last 5 premiership games. (even the scorline last week). I've tried really hard to mix things up AVB style but we don't seem to get over that finish line...last weekend were were 1-0 up for a long time, then we conceded and they score in the last minute...ring any bells?

Anyway...good news...I play a team on Saturday who haven't played before...this is their first game. I'm hoping for a good win.

I'll post the result on here about 11.30 so you can all get a glimpse of the spurs result later tomorrow.

COYS - I think we can win this...I'm very much up for it now! Dembele or no Dembele, lets dig deep, find that fire in our bellies and fucking go for it!

As fans we are all painfully aware that we aren't playing well and that our starting 11 is missing the players that can really make a difference; Dembele. with Moussa imo we are close to favourites, without him we will not keep the ball in midfield and not get through the line of their midfield to get the ball to our attacking players in positions they can do damage.

Arsenal defend extraordinarily badly. If we can consistently get the ball to the feet or Bale, Lennon and Adebayor we will score at least twice. That should be enough to get a point minimum. The problem is that we won't. they will suffocate our midfield. I think Siggy needs to be given another shot.

Lloris

Walker Gallas Vertonghen Naughton( pace )

Sandro Hudd

Lennon/Dempsey Siggy Bale

Adebayor

That team is the best chance we have imo.

I think we need a bit of perspective here

No matter how poor our recent results have been, no matter how poor our recent performances have been, Arsenal have been worse and will be under more pressure than us as they are at home.

I think we can take all 3 points

Saturday morning games always have a tendency to be a bit of a slow starter. I'm not looking forward to it, but it's spurs, and we're spurs. I'm dreading the 606s and the Call Collymore's if we do lose, plus this site will be a no-go zone after 2.30 tomorrow.

It will be knee-jerkers heaven.

I'll be screaming at my TV for 90 minutes and then I'll be swimming in Jack Daniels.

You call that not up for it? Have a word with yourself son :)

It can't be worse than the last one, being 2-1 up, and then exposing our gaping arsehole while Walcott buggered us senseless?

It can't, can it???o_O

it literally was just that...in fact we just bent over, the whole way, and basically said...do your worst.

It shouldn't, because this time the lads aren't going to be strutting around the pitch first half with an unbearable air of arrogance.

All they did was anger Arsenal, and they came out second half (just like Liverpool did in the CL final) with a head full of steam and proceeded to 'engage us in prison sex'.

Ironically enough, Walcott is doubtful with a "buttock strain." So, maybe the tables have turned? Either that, or Wenger's resorting to some very unconventional methods in order to convince him to stay in January... :woot:

I also have to admit being apprehensive. That is mainly due to the injuries but also because I have a sneaky suspicion I won't be overly happy with the selections AVB makes from those that are available (I'm looking at you Dempsey, Sig and Livermore).

At least we get it out of the way early doors tomorrow. Praying we really turn up and give it a right go. COYS!!

I think it's my favourite whiskey/bourbon of all time and I've had some lovely blends.

Maker's Mark was my fave for a long time and I really like the Jim Beam Black Label, but this drink doesn't really taste like a whiskey and the honey smell and taste is sooooo potent it even overpowers a pint of citrus coke.

It's been a long time since I could drink neat spirits, so always with a mixer
