We're not up for this NLD, are we?

Don't read the thread then. Hell, start a positive one even. Or just be really mature and keep on throwing around insults. That's a good look.

The negativity on this forum is really becoming tedious. I really don't get this self-indulgent whinging.

And do we really need a new thread every five minutes? Surely one thread about the NLD is enough. Ideally one not prejudiced by the lily-livered sentence "We're not up for this NLD, are we?"

I know, I know, I shouldn't be here.

I don't get this public confession in your worries either. Personally up for it always even if the team might be not. Never think about defeat before the fight. Don't know maybe without such attitude my family would never survived Siege of Leningrad for 900 days. And some not up for 90 min of fooking gooners. Shame.

I predict we'll see a depressing gulf in class between the two teams. Obviously, I hope I'm wrong, but I'm really dreading this game.

I predict we'll see a depressing gulf in class between two managers first of all but still believe we won't get beat in spite of it.

Hi guys first post so be gentle.

Reading this thread is like a mirror to all the scum fans I know. They are seriously bricking it and would take the draw now. We are playing better away than at home at the moment, although I did feel the atmosphere change for the better at the Maribor game and we definitely have the players to beat them. Gallas always ups his game against these jokers and Defoe will be chomping at the bit after last weeks 'rest'. We have more than a chance, an early goal for us will get their fans on their back and we can feed off that. I still believe despite Boas's less than exhilarating start to his career with us.

COYS!!

Do you still sit with the same group of people? I have never had a season ticket so tend to float around the Park Lane and Shelf. You have your pockets of moaners then you have a great set of fans. I can't see that much has changed

I have moved about over the years and changed my ST once or twice, however where i am now ( parklane) a lot of the seats around me have changed owners. As i have said there have always been people who bitch at things but there is far more verbal abuse ( to players and managers) and the booing is getting worse.

As i have said before i enjoy the away games much more nowadays where the crowd are far more supportive.

I expect we'll lose. So I think we'll win. Especially as, either way, the result is irrelevant and tells us nothing of the sides' respective strength.

In the past i've dreaded matches because we were expected to do well. Now I don't expect us to do well, so my feelings are 'meh'. This bodes well.

Weirdly, i can only think of one set of supporters who are whinging and being negative as much as we are right now, and we're playing them on Saturday, could be the fan equivalent of depressed fire vs pathetic ice.

I bet we can boo louder than those ****s though :singing:

Jesting aside all AVB has to do is be more positive and the crowd will come round to him. I'm just fearful that we're are going to go out with a hope of simply "beating" Arsenal on Saturday. That is no good. The players have to walk on that pitch ready to fucking eviscerate Arsenal. Utterly embarrass them. Score and keep scoring. If we go out with the hope of beating them then you maybe score a goal (yay) but now you're winning and you must win. You must defend that win, stop doing what you're doing and defend that win. That's where we've gone wrong this season. It's not about the mentality of getting 3 points. It's about glory and utter domination of the opposition.

How's this for a good reason:

edit: LOL at being rated as optimistic - this is the real table as it stands, i do think there are some spurs fans who are blinkered by their negativity.[/quote

Sunday morning.........................

7 -- Ar5ena1 12 9 19
8 -- Spurs 12 0 17

You may say pessimistic, I say realistic!!! :sorry:

Its just the first time in a long tine that I don't have the feeling that on our day we can beat anyone.

of all the NLD's of the past seasons, this is the one that I'm going to dread most.

In part due to the horrific number of injuries we have with the first-teamers,
also with the team not being able to gel together and play as a unit since August, the world-beaters we used to play like seemed eons ago, call it pessimistic or whatever, but can you honest to God touch your heart and really say with conviction based on the teams recent performances that we'd be beating the Arse at the Library?
plus if i see bloody Brad Friedel/clint Dempsey starting for this game i'm just going to switch the fucking tv off...

The scum will be at 100% full strength

Sczezney
Sagna Mertesaker Koscelny Vermaelen
Arteta Wilshere
Walcott Cazorla Podolski
Girould

and will have Gervinho and Chamberlin to come on from the bench

We are missing Kaboul Ekotto Parker and Dembele plus he refuses to play Lloris so I count that as 5 out

In there places are Friedel Gallas Caulker Huddlestone and Dempsey - Big difference

Saturday morning games always have a tendency to be a bit of a slow starter. I'm not looking forward to it, but it's spurs, and we're spurs. I'm dreading the 606s and the Call Collymore's if we do lose, plus this site will be a no-go zone after 2.30 tomorrow.
