He is saying he is not going to Turkey, he doesn't want to step down a level of football. He is waiting until the English clubs do their transfer business in the last couple of days of the window to join the Premier League. Inter can't afford him to stay as his wages will are due to go up I believe.
Yep who ever's ITK it was that this will go up to the deadline is probably going to be right.
I don't think he'll be ours though.

I posted an audio link in this thread from a Dutch journalist who says they have close contacts with him, listen to that.

I still think we are favourites to sign him , and more so the closer it gets to the end of the window

800k pa is 15k pw so now he's on effectively on 108k pw. It's a gamble but it's doable (EDIT: if he's willng to negotiate as he suggested) - IF he's fit

It's not effectively anything because all our players are on bonuses of some kind. This was highlighted most strongly in the season that we qualified for the CL and a large amount of the new CL revenue went on paying player bonuses.

Plus Sneijder has said he'll lower his wages a bit to come to the PL.

I would imagine we can get him on £85k per week plus some bonuses for goals, games etc...

Much prefer he go there than pool or some other competition, so I'm kinda happy with this.

Hopefully he will get the "are you Roberto Carlos in disguise" chant over the next season though!;)

It sounded like a loyalty bonus (a la Alan Shearer) rather than usual performance bonuses but moot point now

Sunday 10.40am
Wesley Sneijder has revealed he’s stalling over a move to Galatasaray, leaving the door open for Liverpool to come in with a late bid.
Sunday reports suggest the Reds are mulling over whether they can afford to make an offer to the Dutchman, and Sneijder now admits he won’t be rushed into signing a deal with Galatasaray while other parties are still in the hunt.
‘It is a difficult decision to make,’ he told Sky Sport 24.
‘There are still two weeks until the end of the window and I still have time. See, I’m fine and I’m calm. I do not need to decide on Monday.’
The Turkish giants have agreed an £8.2million deal with Inter Milan for the out-of-favour playmaker, but the 28-year-old is seemingly holding out for a move to a more illustrious league.
