WBA plan worked to perfection. Son runs hot and cold but one thing he is is a goal threat and you need him on the pitch. I wish lamela would just leave, I've had enough of him. We need better.
Same mate I’ve said this for ages and all the Lamela supporters were spouting about how much he loves spurs and how hard he works and how creative he is, FUCK THAT(as Robert Franks would say), he’s just simply not good enough for us.
I don’t need any stats etc to tell me that it’s been blatantly obvious pretty much every time he plays.
I get Poch’s loyalty but he should’ve started Son or Lucas over Lamela.

I had no faith we’d win today. Expected a draw though.

I think we will win the next 2 games

I hope you're right. Potentially two very scary games we have to endure now. And how many times do we hear the commentators say how we've suddenly upped the tempo and started passing quicker and such at the start of the 2nd half? So much of the time it just feels like we waste 1st halves playing slow and creating very little. There's always the potential to go in at HT 0-0 at Wembley and that's what I'm scared about on Wednesday because in the latter stages, as we've seen today anything can happen.

Almost everyone's form has somewhat dropped. Alli, Kane, Eriksen, Son, Dembele and Lamela's.

A couple of observations, when you need to do something to open up a team like that and you bring on someone to run at the defence Alli is probably not the man to take off, when you have a player taking on defenders the ball is likely to run free and having a quick thinker in the box is invaluable, Alli is as quick as they come, I have asked if he was injured, was he?
With five minutes to go in an away game you are drawing without your best two defensive midfielders and you lose your cornerstone central defender you probably ought not bring on an ineffectual striker, better to shore up the midfield and take the draw.
No matter how shit Alli is, he still can score something out of nothing. The taunts just make him stronger. He shouldn't leave before Lamela today.

Have been a spurs fan since late 70s and we are still the spursy that we always have been, yes times are better but what have we to show for the upturn in the last few years??
Two, likely three, seasons of Champion's League football. World class players to enjoy watching (well, if you're a ST holder like me or a regular attendant). Famous wins over the very best in Europe. All this while the club is under huge financial strain building a new stadium and we've spent an entire season away from home.

I've not been a fan as long as you. Just 25 years for me. But I've seen enough of the shittier times to know that, frankly, this is the best we've had it in decades. To pretend we haven't moved onwards over the past few years, hell the past ten years, is disingenuous.

I fear that since the Semi and the wobbly perfoirmances that follow people think "same old Spurs". But three matches isn't enough to claim that. Not yet. We finish fifth, then maybe "spursy" truly applies. But if we get CL footballk again then this season is a success given the stadium upheaval and the runaway success of Man City.

We don`t open up teams that sit back so lets buy players with a bit of technique that can do that it cannot be rocket science... You cannot rely on work rate and shape and tactics all the time sometimes you need a player who just does special things and we don`t really have one of those.
This. If I was a defender against us the only players I’d be fearing would be an on form Son or Lucas running at me and Eriksen shooting or crossing from range otherwise if you shut Kane off the rest of our players are piss easy to defend against too often.

have you seen the way we have been playing recently as well as how they have been playing?
i have more confidence in chelsea winning all 3 of there remaining games then us winning our two given the form of us and them
Then, with respect, you're not my kind of fan. That sort of negativity is not something we want bleeding down to the players, especially now.

Poch ''We need to realise that we need to be more aggressive from the beginning and not wait'' what you mean like you waiting ages to make a sub?
If you showed as much passion when we win a football match on here as you do putting the boot in you'd be a cracking fan ... Fucking hell mate we get it, you don't like his subs fucking deal with it, it fucking happened. Jesus fucking christ.

Why don’t you actually make a point instead of just making sarcastic comments?

Wow what an excellent use of Spam, thanks for that fellow human being and Spurs fan. Very friendly.

Ok if you’re so desperate for it to be written down for you:

West Brom’s tactics all season and particularly the last few games under Moore have been to sit back and try and score from set pieces or counters. Hardly “no-one would have predicted it”.

You’re not getting tactically “outwitted” when the oppositions only plan is “sit back and hope”.

You’re not getting tactically outwitted when you lose the game from the ultimate scrappy chaos goal.

Parking the bus is not a clever or sophisticated tactic.

We weren’t very good but that’s because the players are too busy booking their flights for their summer holidays, not because they were cleverly out-thought by wiley opponents and a talented manager.

People say this but I genuinely can't see where this is coming from at the moment. We were lucky against Watford.

If there are two teams on worse form than Spurs at the moment it’s Newcastle and Leicester.

Yep. But there is people on this forum who think Kane is worlds best number 9 and that Alli is a world class talent.

Eriksen is the only real class player we got.
Jan and Toby...basically those players educated at Ajax.
