Massive disappointment not to see Holtby start as Dempsey was particularly poor v Norwich. ManU finished yesterday with 4 strikers on the pitch. We're struggling to start with one.

I'd imagine Dawson has been picked to try and combat Lukaku. If we can keep him and Long out of the game we should be alright.

I can see Dembele bossing the game today, hopefully pushing forward and maybe getting a goal. Lukaku is a beast and I can see him causing trouble but hopefully Jan and Daws will manage him, I think Long will probably get a goal.

Match prediction, 2-1 spurs with Dembele and Dempsey goals for us and Long for them.

we've both had tough games in midweek so we need to keep the ball better and make them do the chasing, Hopefully Parker will have his chicken head on today, get Lennon and Bale in the game early.

Dempsey will (hopefully) be the "i've not made it yet" Dempsey rather than the i've scored twice against United so i can rest on my lead lined laurels Dempsey

Dempsey... I think in selecting him we've already made it a bit harder for ourselves, in a strange sense because with him in the team I just feel like we have less potential to 'out-football' WBA and the game will be a bit scrappier which would suit WBA.

I hope I'm overreacting but I really want to see his slot filled with more of a ball playing player for the sake of having more creativity from the centre of midfield.

I really can't wait to see this Dempsey/Defoe combo broken up. They're two players that don't have nearly enough involvement in the game and it results in us ceding a great degree of control. Dempsey would be better with a point man like Adebayor to play off and Defoe might be better with a creator like Holtby behind him who's going to get on the ball and make up for JD's own lack of involvement. Dempsey and Defoe together though? Don't like it at all.
