Was having a glance at the reaction of their fans on KUMB and came accross this thread http://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=116020&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

Apparantly some of their supporters were mocking Defoe over the death of his brother - sick fu*kers - saying he should have died with him.

To be far, the posters on the site are disgusted by it.

The Hammers should have points deduced or something - no excuse for that type of behaviour - hit them hard.

Start by showing them up in the papers tomorrow.

Show them up in the bloody papers, DISGRACE

If me and TheHatman heard any of this we would have slapped the taste out of their mouths.

To be fair, when you are talking about fans of Premier League clubs - 100,000s, even millions of people you're always going to get a small percentage of true pond scum involved.

I mean, they could say the same about us with the Campbell chants. Arguably they were as bad as the Defoe ones. To most of the Spammers' credit they are apalled at what was said. The same wasn't really done on here after the Pompey game which was disapointed.

There were a few Spurs fans chanting about Campbell's dad just after he died. You get it everywhere and its mostly a very small percentage of fans who chant about death, but at pubs beforehand the 'tribe mentality' means a few more join in without really thinking about it - and i don't just mean the drunks.

I remember being in a Spurs pub in Manchester before a Man U game years ago and about 99% of the 150/200 people in there were singing the Munich song. Not great is it, although that's not as bad as the Defoe chants today as it was aimed at an individual about a recent family death. I'll be honest, i like sick jokes and i sometimes have a very sick sense of humour so i'm no fucking angel by a very long shot, but i draw the line at stuff like this.

But as i say, it goes on at all grounds. No point in picking out Hammers fans in particular. Saying all that, i do generally dislike their fans though. Living in a Hammers area, i feel i have the right to say that. Arsenal fans i only hate because of their arrogance, there's not much else of note about them to be honest. But as a whole, if i had to pick out a set of fans i dislike the most, it would be Hammers fans, having dealt with a fair few pricks there over the years.

I definitely do not agree any action should be taken other than maybe a paragraph on their website asking for it to stop. If they get points deducted as mentioned above (never gonna happen btw), then we should expect a fair few points deducted ourselves over the course of a season.

i do think wham fans are wankers, to deal with the inferiority on the pitch for....ever they try and be the hardest off it.

Dont shoot me but I actually think GOONS are alright, I haven't really met any dickhead goons at all...most are deep down quite complementary about us.

Chants like that are sick to be honest from my experiences you don't get it as much up north. I think its just the london circle.

Must say the hammers over at kumb handled it maturely enough while discussing it, but yeah, i dislike hammers fans more so than gooners - gooners are mostly just arrogant.

not suprised, west ham fans are easily the most grotesque in the league. I wish they wouldnt try to position themselves as i rivals too, arsenal are our rivals they are just an annoyance

I have to say that it's good to see their fans standing up for what's right. I didn't hear it on the telebox but that is simply sick!!

On a day when they have one of their own players in hospital in critical condition for a similar sort of incident!

Fuck them, they are no better than some of our lot who shout similar abuse at opposing players.
It's a tad hypocritical for us to start complaining about abuse being screamed at ex players!
JD will have expected some form of insults and abuse, he said as much in the midweek papers, he said he plays better when he gets stick...doesn't he just!

Have to say that this has been my experience too. Obviously not met the right (or wrong) Gooners yet :)

The few West Ham fans I've met really do have a chip on their shoulder. Was talking to this geezer for about 3 hours in a pub once..getting along fine..then the conversation turned to football..me Spurs..him West Ham. Never seen someone turn into such a cock so quickly!

Mind you, Gooners can be complementary all they like when they've had the lion's share of the bragging rights over the last few years. Might change quickly if we finish above them.

I know what you mean, shaved head, tattoos, earring and buckled teeth, always snarling and giving it the Billy big bollocks.

There is one who lives down the road from me and he used to shout "Yid ****" at me whenever i walked past him, or throw stuff at my car, as i drove past his house...until one day when i thought "fuck him".....

I stopped the car, walked over to him, and smacked him so hard, i knocked him clean out of his wheelchair....
