There was a time when I would get very aggressive with any WHU mates after a result like that. Not any more, now I just don't care.
It's going to take something very special to get me excited about THFC again...very sad to say it, but it's true, after 47 years, and I'm a previous season ticket holder I've just about had it.

Cheer up Ziggy.

First game i miss this season, I see we still don't practice defending, at all, we can't, not after that first goal, that was pure amateur time of the highest level, both CB's rushing out, danny rose as usual involved.. christ, it's every fucking game now.

Edit: meant the red card.

Silver lining - This should remove any potential hope Levy had of keeping Sherwood in charge

I thought he would be replaced anyway but just in case Levy was getting some money saving ideas surely his will confirm he has to upgrade us to a real manager

1 more game of the Sherwood era and then he's Harlow FC's problem

Though bear in mind that changing the manager doesn't necessarily change the problem. Such changes can be comparatively superficial, a sleight-of-hand performance that distracts our eyes away from where they might otherwise be looking (elsewhere in the club's organisational superstructure).

Adebayor and Paulinho deserve the mother of all bollockings for this, the latter is supposedly worth 28.76 million!

I wrote at the time that Tim Sherwood was appointed that he would not be our manager next season and I have seen nothing since he took over to suggest otherwise. I did not/do not want him to fail, but despite some decent results the performances have not been good enough with Stoke City away and West Ham today more the norm than the exceptions.

Andre Villas-Boas was fired because the performances did not meet the expectation of the chairman or the fans. What has Tim Sherwood's team done to justify he is not fired in the same manner?

Name me one game where Sherwood's tactical know how turned a game in our favour? Name me one game under Sherwood where we played with the style, flair and tactical discipline we showed at Cardiff City? A game of quality that was a rare bright spot this season.

I watched Benfica knock Juventus out of the Europa Cup and was annoyed that we were not still in the competition. I will avoid the FA Cup Final because it will only remind me of our dismal performance in the third round against Arsenal. I endured our loss at West Ham which assured they stay up. I want us to finish fifth in the league, but we are now struggling to hold onto sixth. What a waste of a season and one that is up there with some of the worst I have endured as a fan.

Having said that, we are still not far off the top four and with a good managerial appointment pre-season will be one of optimism. We have some good young players and a core the new man in charge can build around. I have mentally closed the book on 2013-14 and cannot wait until the new season.

If that's the case Sherwood as a point when he says he shouldn't be judged on the final two games. Levy should absolutely know before today whether he wants to keep Sherwood or not.

I think he certainly did - it sounds like he's been talking to RDB from the reports coming out that end

You never know though - Levy might have liked an equal record ever points tally (via a higher ppg average during the Sherwood part of that season) as a reason to save a bit of cash and justify giving him a whole season to show what he can do

I don't think you need to judge him on the final two games to determine that we must upgrade him, he's failed to really influence any games or correct the most basic of errors game after game.

That goal just about epitomised how spineless some of our players are and why we've capitulated so often this season. Utterly disgraceful. Poor Hugo!

Spurs and Man Utd seem to be involved in an intriguing battle to see who can avoid playing in the Europa League next season.

Not one of our managers this season has been able to organise a defence it can't be that hard to set up a team to stop conceding silly goals it's basic stuff FFS.

United have lost

What a fucking let off- only a point needed from the Villa game now

Stand-in manager (though fan favourite) fails? Some inept players (not moved on by SAF) and a ton of hubris and ego rotting in the OT dressing room. The mighty fall, and their rebuilding, believe me, is going to be more challenging than ours. We are neither alone in our circumstance, nor as badly off as some of the so-called big boys.

And not a central midfielder in sight. No wonder the two CB's thought they should rush out.

I got told by someone who knows Adebayor, at least enough to get a place in his hospitality box, that he's staying next season. I am sceptical about this given we will have to pay his full wages.
