We are easily the better team, control the game, find a few key passes in their box, 3-0, job done, bring on the scum.

I'm confident about tonight, I can't see us turning them over with beautiful flowing football but I think our high line will keep their biggest threat (knockdowns/second balls/balls into the box) at bay, we've been bloody superb at stopping teams getting onto good situations against us, we win the ball high and don't concede many balls into our box at all.

Offensively, it may be another stodgy affair but we seem to always find a way through, and playing away from home West Ham fans will want them to go at us so hopefully they will leave the back door open.

If they do park the bus, take it as a compliment, even if we do huff and puff but fail to blow the house down.

The key thing to me is that I'm sure we will probably end up victims to a "shock" result in remaining games of the season, so it's how we react to this when it happens. So far this season when the chips have been down we have really upped our game. I still think we will win today but even if we don't I don't think it's a reason to jump of a bridge.

There was a feature recently on Talksport (no, wait, come back!), which was the 10 teams in all of Europe who concede the fewest shots on their goal. We were in there at number 10, alongside company such as Barca, Real, Bayern and Juve! Man City was the only other English team to make the list.

Yup, I was perusing them stats myself yesterday - it's our biggest single improvement under AVB, we have reduced the lottery element out of our football that was there under HR. We throttle teams into their own half, we just need to improve on capitalising on that when we have the ball.

All about nullifying their biggest threat which arguably stems from set pieces.

Think they will target our right hand side and Walker in particular as he is prone to being far too tight to attackers leading to cheap free kicks conceded but if we can, as a team, defend smart and restrict the space rather than being touch tight then we will be able to pick them off on the counter.

I will also add, I welcome Lloris back in goals with open arms and will be a reassuring presence when the balls come flying into the box from all angles.

Yeah I worry about Walker as an individual, he's our weakest part but our defensive work as a team suggests we have managed to minimise our weaknesses well, because a lot of times our defence has consisted of players you have a few worries about, for different reasons.

Allardyce's teams are well drilled defensively so we must be swift when we win the ball high up, and that means Lennon getting back on his game again.

I expect Parker to have a big game for us tonight. Think its the first time he has come up against West Ham since leaving them.

If West Ham play like they did at the Lane they will get a battering. However, I expect it to be a tricky game as West Ham seem to turn up a bit when under the floodlights. Though their obvious weakness in past games is dealing with the likes of Lennon and Bale. I think Lennon will have the likes of Pogatetz on toast tonight.

Our biggest threat is stopping them from nicking a goal and us failing to break them down.

Any one know who the ref is tonight? I admire the confidence in some on here, but been around for too long and can't quite get rid of the " Of course shit happens we are Spurs" feeling yet. :(

Why? IMO he is not better than Benny at LB.
As for the rest of the posters, we can and we will win even if Bale has a shitty game. We have won games without him this season if you can recall. Be positive!

He is not a better left back, but he is a bigger left back. If we have ever learnt from going away against teams with a big centre forwards is that they end up pulling on to Benny. Every year it happened at Bolton.

I just think AVB might take it into consideration.

Step forward Emmanuel Adebayor. I'm confident tonight is the night for Adebayor to show his quality. We should win and to go 3rd will give us so much confidence. COYS....

Probably the most horrible game of the season because we know we should beat them, we know they're a terrible team under Fat Sam, but we also know it'll be a very tough game.

If we play our game we should win. If we play theirs we won't.

COYS!
