I can't see us underestimating anyone right now and if we aren't 100% up for any game as it stands then something is horribly wrong. We are in desperate need of a win, that alone should mean everyone is fired up to put things right etc.

West Ham have enjoyed a cracking start but they are of course in a false league position and come the end of the season they will have the open top bus out if they manage a top half finish.

We need to win and anything less than 3 points would another very, very poor home result.

Hopefully Daws plays. He has bullied Carroll before and he would be bang up for this if he gets the nod.

Lloris, Walker, Caulker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Sandro, Hudd, Dembele, Lennon, Bale, Defoe. Moussa is a big plus if we can field him and that side has plenty of muscle and aerial power to deal with their method of attack.

Its time for Gallas to step a side now, he is far to erratic and tenuous in his defending and its time for Caulker and Vertonghen to start striking a proper partnership.

You finally put Lloris in so do the honorable thing Andre and fuck Gallas off or if you keep making these fundamental selection mistakes then it may be you that ends up getting fucked off.

They are still a Championship team caught in the glare of premiership headlights and teetering comicallly at the pinnacle before the inevitable crash down the ranks - beginning on Sunday at 4.00pm.

I watched West Ham v Stoke, they are in a false league position, believe me its only a matter of time until they are back down scraping the bottom of the barrel. I expect nothing else other than a Spurs victory.
I watched their game against Wigan, they were truly awful

Fascinating stuff. You really think we will lose again? How very interesting. Blah blah blah

i just stuck 50 quid on them to beat us (5-1 is insane given our form at home lol), can't bear the thought of another loss and need a little compensation if we fuck up again...and if we win happy days money well spent :)

Should be an interesting game this weekend.

Spurs being on a poor run for me doesn't have much bearing on a derby game like this. Most teams and players recognise when they've been under performing and need to get up for a match, and the pressure of losing back to back games will kick the Spurs players into action.

West Ham have been solid in defence and midfield this year, making it difficult for teams to play their natural game, which works particularly well against passing sides, but not so well against Stoke and Wigan. However West Ham have a few injuries particularly to the main flair players in Benayoun, Vaz Te and Jarvis. It's probably good from West Ham's point of view then that this is an away game where they're unlikely to need to unlock a stubborn defence sitting deep a la Stoke last night.

The smart money for me is on a draw, but it could go either way. A lot depends on the lone strikers for either side - will Carroll dominate Spurs' shaky defence, or will Defoe's class and natural ability be too much for the West Ham backline?

Carroll to score the only goal of the game is 80/1 on paddy power, that seems ridiculously long given our home form and the prospect of Carroll v Gallas !

They've barely played anyone good yet. They've got them all in the next couple of months. Watch them plummet down the table.

They are playing some ugly, turgid shit but getting results, it will be long ball after long ball and you can say what you like but Nolan and Carroll are fighters and will put themselves about. The pressure will all be on us, were at home on a bad run, we MUST fucking WIN and WIN well.
To be honest I'd just take ANY fucking WIN right now.
