What do you think is our best line-up (assuming all are fit)

Chimbonda -- Rocha -- Ledley -- Lee

Lennon -- Malbranque -- Tainio -- Bale

Berbatov -- Bent

So close Flatters! But not quite... How can you leave out our top goalscorer and one of our key motivators on the pitch for Bent (who I also rate). Keane for Bent but otherwise perfect. Really like the steel of the midfield - both Tainio and Malbranque can tackle (and I really cannot stand JJ and Zokora at the moment) and the experience of Rocha at CB is very important. Is Rocha injured? If not, why is he not starting?

When everyone is fit and playing to their potential, this would be my team.

i would have that nearly, all i would change is lee and bring in ekotto , i feel we need a left footer down there. Lee seems to constantly change to his right and it seems defenders know this now and dont let him

I was just wondering who everyone would put as there best line-up assuming that everyone was fit.

Well, heres mine:

----------Robinson
Chimbonda---Kaboul ---King -Bale
-----------Jenas
Lennon ---------------------------Malbranque
Keane

Bent ------------Berbatov

for crying out loud, please give up with the 3 up front idea - could you tell me when it actually worked for us?

Its not three up front, but Keane play just behind the two strikers. He has good vision and link up play, he can put in good through balls for Berbie and Bent to get onto the end of them and bang them in the net!

My first choice right now would be:

------------Robinson----------

Chimbo-----Kaboul----King-----Lee

Lennon----Jenas----Boateng----Bale

I agree, except that I would have Dawson over Gardner. I suspect that Gardner would prove himself to be an excellent player if he managed a proper run of games. A succession of injuries is likely to have had a negative effect on his confidence, and in my opinion that is what he so often lacks.

My 5 subs would be:

Cerny, Gardner, Malbranque, Defoe, Bent

I just don't know enough about KPB and Taarabt.

I think Huddlestone's days are numbered.

chimbonda dawson king lee
lennon malbranque jenas bale
*berbatov keane

*based on berba sorting out his attitude - if not, sell him in january and use the cash to find a real midfield general. in which case bent plays up front with keane.

Everyone seems to be pretty sure about Chimbonda. I think he's a good player, but I can think of too many times he's been beaten to a ball in a set piece and it's resulted in us conceding.

'So what, you're going to put Stalteri there instead?'

Yes, because I feel that every second he's on the pitch he's trying his hardest. And he's not actually that bad either.

I'm a chimbonda hater. Stalteri represents less physical talent but greater responsibility and intelligence. Perhaps Ramos can refocus Chimbonda to the one that played so well upto and including the Chelsea win last november.

Well perhaps at the moment you can't drop Keane. I agree that he's our best striker at the moment, but I think Berbatov and Bent could form a great partnership in the future. More so than that of the hot and cold partnership of Berbatov and Keane.

Rocha is injured. No doubt he would start at the moment if he was fit.

You make a good point though. I prefer Chimbonda because he's better at attacking though. When you've got Ledley at the back, you need no one else to defend.

---------------Robbinson
Chimbonda--Dawson---King----Lee
Lennon-----Kaboul-----Steed-----Bale
-----------Berbatov---Keane

that is it berbatov stops fucking about and starts atchaly playing

I have to say, that looks awesome.

Not sure how Steed would cope there, but perhaps if Kaboul plays slightly back and Steed slightly forward, it would work wonders.
