Gerry Francis mullet.

I just loved it.

Gascoigne and Lineker drew me to become a Spurs fan.

I cant understand siblings who follow different clubs. I kind of get it if the dad isn't into football.

Weird way I got into Spurs actually. We had a family friend and one of their sons (older than me) was a Spurs fan. I idolised him as a I was growing up. Will admit it took me a while to settle on one team beforehand (no gloryhunting as Spurs were not exactly prime choice for that as you all know!). Eventually got into Tottenham and I've stuck with them ever since. Proud to be a yid as well. Interestingly, within the past couple of years I found out that my Chelsea supporting Dad grew up in Tottenham and his whole family were Tottenham fans. Somehow, someway I've brought the club back. He told me he chose Chelsea when it was Chelsea v Tottenham in an FA Cup final just to be annoying! Can't criticise him though, as he happily bought a season ticket for me and him 10 years ago. Since then every season we've been members.
Your Chelsea supporting dads been a Tottenham ST holder for 10 years?

Check these twins out. I'll wager it'll be the funniest thing you saw all week! They're genuine too, it's no comic put on

"Don't bring the fatty" at 4:14 slays me!

Not 10 years. We had a ST for just the one season, but because of the nature of his work he was barely around to take me to every game. After that season we became members as it allowed us to pick and choose the match/es he'd be around to go to.

No glorious story here. I did a fair amount of research when picking a club 3 or 4 years ago. Immediately eliminated clubs that were likely to get relegated, then eliminated the massive clubs that everyone in the States seemingly defaults to choosing. Narrowed it down to 4 (Spurs, City, Liverpool, Newcastle). Ended up choosing Spurs. Have never looked back and never will.

I'll be going to my first Spurs match when they play against the Chicago Fire in about 2 weeks so I'm really pumped. I want to make it out to the Lane before it gets demolished but I don't think I will be able to :( . I wouldn't even be able to afford a flight out there let alone lodging/food/tickets/etc, but who knows maybe I will be able to save some money and get out there (y)!

Same here! I hope to make it to the practice the day prior, as well as to Atlantic for the festivities!

My brother.

When I was about 3-4 years old, he asked me which team was I going to support, when I was in bed once... I was going to choose Crystal Palace as I loved the kit at the time and I liked their name.

Then he basically said "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, you crazy bro", then I started supporting Spurs

Still one of my favourites kits ever.

Lineker, Gazza and the blue and white kit.

Edinburgh, Tramezzani and that god awful purple pony kit nearly saw me off.

I was just wondering what would be the ratio of people who were "born into" supporting Spurs to the people who chose to support Spurs?

Any guesses?
