They probably forgot!I wondered this as they were in all red, so it can't have been anything to do with their kit.
According to the club shop, the white shorts "are the Spurs men's home change shorts for season 2010/11. These shorts will be worn in European competition in line with the tradition and history of Spurs in Europe and domestic cup competitions with the Spurs Cup Shirt."
So it is very strange that we didn't wear them last night. We did wear them at home against Young Boys.
Firstly of course I'm chuffed that we won so resoundingly.Does it really matter?
We won the game 4-1 to stay joint top with Inter and people are worrying about the colour of the shorts?
THFC said:Whilst we wore white shorts for our home time with BSC Young Boys, for the home game with FC Twente, UEFA requested that we wear blue shorts. We hope to revert to the white shorts for our other Champions League matches, clashes permitting.
Heresy for saying it given our illustrious European history, but I think the home kit works better with navy shorts rather than white ones whether we're playing in the Premier League, the Champions League or the Haringey Borough Under 10s League. White shorts with a white kit just looks too much like Leeds Utd to me - a lilywhite shirt with navy blue shorts can't be beat, for me.
