Rubbish.

Peps can say what they like about Adebayor, imo he was a unique striker. He's style looked lazy but he was far from it.

Would love to know on what basis you have come to this conclusion! He now has an ex-teammate saying he was lazy, I saw him play many times and I think he is lazy. Most people think he is lazy. I'm happy to be proved wrong and for you to give us evidence that not only goes against all observations but also against ex-teammates who know him a lot better than we do.

From Kumb:

They are business men, skilled in identifying and exploiting opportunities to make money. They brought money to the table when we needed it, and they brought their 'love of West Ham' (sic) to the table to keep us fans onside while they schemed in the background to exploit the opportunity presented by, primarily, the renegotiation of the Sky contract. But they did this to make money. Beginning and end of.

They simply do not have, and never have had, the best interests of the club or the supporters at heart.

They've 'loaned' money they can afford to lose, no doubt being used to offset tax liabilities elsewhere, which they will get back along with the generous interest that's being charged. They've actually given the club nothing at all. They've taken a calculated gamble in which the odds were stacked in their favour.

They're clever businessmen but I'm afraid that they're not Daniel Levy clever. Not even in his League. Sp**s are going to end up with an absolutely brilliant purpose built (AND multi-use...) stadium without having to move. They're going to end up more than likely in the Champs League with (it pains me to say it but...) a top side with a healthy mix of youth and class. Levy must be looking at the Daves and Brady and laughing until his sides hurt. He forced us into that stadium so he could get the permission for his. The Daves are clever, but by comparison Levy's genius.

I don't buy this c**p that they saved us. They've partly killed us. If they hadn't come along, someone else would. The opportunity was always there. And the move to the OS simply wasn't necessary on any level. In reality we are, in the great scheme of things, absolutely no further forward or anywhere nearer Europe than when they joined and, I would argue, we have a worse team. But they are richer and now sitting on an asset worth considerably more than what they paid for it. Because of Sky TV money which they had very little to do with.

And what sticks in my throat more than anything is this - if they were foreign owners with no history or knowledge of tradition simply looking to ride on the coat tails of the premier league (see Cardiff, Hull etc) to gain exposure and make money, I'd understand the single-minded desire to sell up, bank the cash and rent. But they're supposedly one of us. Absolute bull. None of us would have done what they've done. None of us.

I feel let down, utterly conned and really angry at what they've done. The sooner they sell up and move on the better as far as I'm concerned.

If only someone had told them.....oh yeah, that's right, we did!!!

A rather amusing exchange in GasRoom 2 prompted by one of the posters saying he is going but in the Spurs area with a spurs supporting mate. TTID appears to be our ambassador to Wycombe and a sterling job he is doing too. Warning for those easily scared buy buffet based violence look away now! Good to see the grammar police are prevalent on all forums:

Ok what is your definition of lazy. He never made runs,he never closed down, he never trained... He wasn't imo certainly more busier than Berbatov.

Some pretty funny posts there.

Shame a bunch of pricks are spamming the crap out of this thread. It really is one of the best threads when inane conversations aren't dwarfing the on topic posts.

Agreed.

And "hit man" definitely should not be hyphenated.

Adebayor lazy? If he had a fraction of the courage and desire of the likes of Steve Perryman, Graham Roberts and Ledley King he could have been world class. Rarely saw the very best of him

I grew up around Wycombe.. Other than Ocean's nightclub, Desborough road and The Octagon Shopping Centre the rest of the place was pretty placid, safe and tranquil. Not sure what it's like now, as I'm far too old for any trouble.

Not sure where else to stick this but a quote from Hangelaand from a podcast and he was discussing the laziest players he knew

Emanuel Adebayor: Only played with him for 6 months but a quick story. I played for Fulham and he played for spurs. We were attacking and I was marking Adebayor in the midfield, suddenly he says "ahhh, I'm hungry". I replied "what?". "I can't wait for the game to finish, I'm so hungry. Do you know a good restaurant in London Hangeland?". Later when he came to Palace I started to realized where this came from. When we had strength workouts he would sit in the gym with just a cup of coffee and a muffin. He was being paid by City, Tottenham and Palace at the same time, and he was sitting in the gym drinking coffee. Incredible natural talent, very lazy.
Lol only Ade could get away with that, what a lazy shit. He had the potential to be as good as Drogba

Their forum is actually really good and some amusing posters. You cant deny that they like to be well prepared for a day out. They are arranging to meet in groups of 4 at the station as the discount group saver ticket halves the cost. They are establishing which away fan pubs are best for real ale. The merits of walking from 7 sisters or Tottenham Hale. TTID really is doing our fans reps a service with his ambassadorial concierge work. He is everything Glastonspur isn't.
