"IF we can play as well as we did in the EFL we could win 4-3 without Kane harassing our rookie defence."

This is one of the most retarded comments I've ever seen posted in this thread.

Honestly, I had higher expectations from Southampton fans.

Why????????????

It might have been written in jest, but it just seems daft to me that because we're missing Kane we're all of a sudden going to ship 2 times as many goals at home as we have in any other game this season. Funnier even is the fact that they've used Kane as a reason they might win - but still have us scoring 3 goals.

The whole post (and admittedly this one) was a waste of time.

some good stuff in there, and it goes to show how woeful they've been defensively ever since van Dyke went down, that they want to bring in a washed up caceres into defense. Going forward they're confident, and they should be, but i feel toby and jan specifically match up well against gabbiadini. It all makes me reasonably confident even without Kane. Not that I expect us to win, but if are able to pick all three points, it'll be huge as everybody else in the top 6 have to play Southampton yet and the Saints are bound to get one or two to drop points.

Overwhelming feeling these posts are being made from a mobile phone that has been smuggled into prison via someone's bum.
Wasn't there a quote that one of the millwall mugs brother in law was breaking out of prison especially for the game. So you are probably right.

Southampton fans are always worth a laugh for their almost Liverpool levels of delusion (in relative terms) when they play us.

Surely there must be some comments from them about how Gabbiadini is better than Kane, somewhere?!?!

I tend to cut Soton and their fans a bit of slack . We complain for years if even one player is poached by a bigger club . Those poor fuckers have entire teams and managers removed after a good season . But they still come back again after each massive setback .

It is a bit remarkable...so for me , they can mouth off a bit no worries .

Yeah but what have their players ever done for us?

*give us some of the most individual brilliance ever seen in a Spurs shirt.

Yeah but apart from that?

*Made us £90m in one transfer

Well yeah but that aside?

*Stole the best defender in the league from under their noses...

But what else?

*Given us a beast who is possibly our player of the season this year

Yes but what have they ever really done for us?

*let Ronnie Rosenthal score a hatrick against them

They somehow tricked us into taking Glen Hoddle and Dean Richards. The slate is clean.

I did consider mentioning those 2 but thought better of it! Though in fairness, the ecstasy we all felt when we got Hoddle back from them was immense. And Richards did have a good first half against Utd that time... we won't talk about the second half.

Southampton fans are like Leicester fans. Weird deluded bunch of fucking idiots who seem to have this weird hatred for Spurs for some reason. Harry Kane is a big miss but we are miles better than Southampton. Even without Harry Kane we will turn them over no problem. As for Leicester fuck off you ****s!!!! Suddenly all mouthy again because they won a few games

They definitely do well to somewhat be a strong side every season despite their constant losses but I think they need to ask themselves where they want to be as a club. If they want to develop and move forward as a football club they need to develop more of a stubbornness whereas I think now they seem quite happy to sell and re-buy for less every season. I know it's hard with player power now and they do always have bigger clubs showing interest in their players but one season they will get it wrong with their purchases after selling their best and find themselves in a grave position. That's if they continue to do so.

I think that's ultimately why Poch left. Their could have been contract issues, I'm not sure but I think the board told Poch of their situation regarding his best players. Even Koeman the other day saying after Lukaku's comments that he wouldn't be at Everton if they didn't have high ambitions and I mean, could you really say the same about a team like Saints who will seemingly never keep hold of their top players? It's worrying even when for whatever reason you end up losing one of your best defenders for years to West Ham.

Like I said it's a hard one when a players head will be turned so easily from certain attention but I do know that personally I'd be left so frustrated to support a club like that. I know it's the same with certainly more clubs than not but other clubs more or less stay at a certain level and don't go on to show the potential the Saints' teams do. I think it's different with Saints because they always seem on the brink of being able to actually achieve something great for the club and have a really good quality side but instead reset themselves every year to where they were.

I don't know why we're having so many problems at the back, when according to this thread we have potentially world class centre backs in Caceres, Carceres, Carcaras, Carecas and Cackers to choose from. "
