I said we should aiming to beat teams in the bottom 7 in both legs, I didnt say not drop points any points outside of the top 7 but carry on.

I also highlighted that we have dropped more points than our rivals with regards to that group whilst destroying the mid table sides
Chelsea are absolutely running away with the league. I don't know what you expect but you seem to be leaving Arsenal, Liverpool and United out of your list of our rivals. Let me guess - because we're better than them in this regard? It's nowhere near as bad as you're making out.

Us and Chelsea are the only sides with no defeats against teams outside the top 7.

Dressing up stats - like claiming a team in the top half of the table are 'relegation threatened' because it flips the argument in your favour.

Southampton have started scoring more frequently since signing Gabbiadini - eight in their last two games. Burnley have one of the best home records in the league (only us, Chelsea, Man Utd and Everton have conceded fewer goals at home than Burnley, only us, Chelsea and Liverpool have won more games at home).

Any Swansea stat taken for the whole season is going to be disproportionate as a result of the shambles they were under Bradley. They're clearly a much improved team than when we played them earlier, and had they appointed Clement instead of Bradley they'd probably be comfortably in the top half.

Not really sure where I got Southampton being just above Watford but I'll happily concede that point...Either way if I used the example of two teams above Burnley then would you agree that it shows a weakness against bottom teams (we won those games by the way)

Also unsure where you're going with your Burnley example talking about goals conceded when the argument is about those teams scoring goals and our defence being able to cope without Kane?

You highlighted City and Chelsea. Even you had to admit City's record was similar.

Then as others have noted you somehow conveniently left out Arsenal, Liverpools, and United. More than half of the rivals.

It's so obvious you've made a conclusion and want to morph the facts around it rather than looking at the facts and making a properly informed decision.

Where do you think citing a team's good defence when we might not have Kane might be going?

I was told that we are at a different level to what were before

Also City's record is better albeit slightly, they dropped one less point but played more matches
not really sure we need to take 2014/15 as a sample seeing as we are playing on a completely different level now compared to then.
The teams you guys are mentioning are at the level we were before fighting for 4th

Might as well look anyway
Liverpool
Top 5 - 8 points from 9 games
Middle 7 - 7 points from 8 games
Bottom 7 - 14 points from 11 games

Arsenal
Top 5 - 15 points from 7 games
Middle 7 - 6 points from 9 games
Bottom 7 - 6 points from 10 games

Man Utd
Top 5 - 12 points from 6 games
Middle 7 - 13 points from 10 games
Bottom 7 - 4 points from 10 games

So yeah we have the second worse record in the top 6 against the bottom 7 teams, Liverpool by far are the worst and we match Arsenal's record if we win our next match against the bottom 7.

Anyway back on topic..............

From Saints web

"Kane has been on fire recently. The 6-0 might give them confidence but we're far, far better than Millwall, and no Kane for Spurs is a massive plus for us. We're back in form, I can see us springing a surprise next week."

"IF we can play as well as we did in the EFL we could win 4-3 without Kane harassing our rookie defence."

"If we come away with a close defeat that will be a very good result. Spurs, even without Kane, are one of the best three teams in the league. They have lost the least games along with Chelsea and I think Man U?"

"A defeat is never* a good result. Especially against ****ing Spurs."
