Do other fans honestly think we're going to sell 4 first team players this summer? They surely aren't serious???

They believe that because they want to believe that and its the story that the press are selling. It is going to be a long and tedious summer for Spurs fans because every journo around knows that fans of United, Arsenal et al will jump on any story speculating about a Spurs player leaving. I've no idea how much truth there is/will be in any of these stories because in many cases the author themselves have no idea how much truth there is. All they are interested in is whether or not the story is read and fans of our rivals are falling over themselves hoping that this brilliant Spurs team will be broken up because its progress and recent performances terrifies them.

Its no different to any other field of reporting at the moment: Trade on the fear of the masses and tell them what they want to hear.

IMO the journalists are simply asking themselves and their readers 'how much better would team X,Y or Z be with this or that Spurs player?' What they seem unable to comprehend or unwilling to accept is that we have a team choc full of extremely talented players but they still see us as also rans. They're so blinkered in their visions for Utd., Liverpool or the mega rich 2 that they won't even consider that we might actually be better than all of them.

Someone on Arse-wipe mania on Kane

he was injured for 3 months, he is the closest to shearer you can get, plus he is good with his feet.
so jealous.

Finally, now if everyone else can just man up and admit the jealously that would be grand :)

Finally a reasonable poster on FoxesTalk, although the Vardy bit is bollocks tbf.

Amases me, the negative, also in the undertones....

Real perspective is needed here...

We in all departments has totally a poor Season where in contrast Spurs did improve theirs

Tonight you see from the n02 in PL, a beautiful masterclass of football, with their top striker,

bring a great performance with Him.Kane was a joy to watch.

I wouls still like to see Vardy and Kane playing together for England.

No my friends, this callous spiteful hate towards this team and its players has to stop.

give credit where its due...Spurs rightly blew us away, and some of you there to witness one of the best

ever away displays at the KP.Chelsea and Spurs have been well above the pack.

lets see if , we this seaon can show appeciation where its earnt, like we expected last season.

Yehh the pundits seen and enjoyed their teams,to be able kick ass, of the also rans...

AND THEY fking did. If we aint careful this forum will sink to spitefull "wicked sister" syndrome....

Our Leicester, our club, our squad, our Shakespeare, our owners, now have to look themselves and truth in

the mirror.

Claudio, owners didnt re-invest, when we were champions, now we have no extra reason why a top quality player

would or should sign for us.

Our ethos and character, can still be played on, but we do need a CM-boss, and quality he can feed.

If Mahrez did stay, we have to rweek our approach and style, he has to be given the run of the field

minus a high % of these stupid defensive duties....

Okazaki, love the guy......but, from his position we have to see more goals..10+ per season.

But the morning after such a match, get your kids to respect the opponents, and not to be indrained,

with "poor loser" attitude. Last night they would of witnessed a cracking side, a team I want my foxes

to aim for...

I have just looked again at some highlights....

We did ourselves, play some good football, created more than a couple of classic chances.

Not bad for our 3rd team selection and set up/whole , defence and midfield bbone splattered

over the injury list...

But Spurs looked, and were good..Their fans, and Their Bias tv pundits, will be enjoying today,

they deserved last night. They were very easy on the eye....That striker mmmwhats his name.....mmmm

ah Harry Kane...shame we never seen him in a blue shirt..innit...
default_rolleyes.gif
!!!

Son...great 2nd goalgetter, both have had a brilliant season.

God how I hope we see Harry, be givenvthe England shirt and asked to play his Spurs role, not be given

stupid responsibilities. England no1 striker..job!!!!! score goals, nothing else.

Then give him Vardy has his partner, but we aint that clever...shame!

Spurs last night won me over, a mature, characteristic season, took stock delivered an higher Octane.

Chelsea were Or had just that bit more consistent quality.

Spurs now a great team to follow, lets see if they want to chase their dream, or again sell off their cream players..

Reports coming in, Eric dier, Nigel Walker and Danny Rose seeking a move in the summer with both Manchester clubs showing interest. Manu reported to make a triple 110mil bid for the three

I think he meant Nigel Mansell............

Harry Kane wins the golden boot. So so good at racking up goals that mean absolutely nothing.

Agreed:

Spurs goal difference: 54

Woolwich goal difference: 31

Means bugger all i guess...

Like Giroud's scorpion. Utterly meaningless in the greater scheme of things.
... Except, according to one Arsefan it should have won the December goal of the month even though it was
scored on 1/1/17

One the Sanchez punch vs Hull - why bother ? Didn't win no prizes.

What I don't get with their comments is they don't really think it through and open themselves up to such criticism and actually brings down their own players.

So if Kane only ratches up his numbers against fodder, how come Sanchez hasn't done the same? If it's so easy to score against them in why is no one ahead of Kane?

Looked up the stats, and Kane is a bit disappointing with his mere 1 in 2 against top-7 (cup included) - 6 goals in 12.

Alexis Sanchez though... 3 in 12.
