Such a crushing game. Defoe had a tap in to an empty net to win the game but didn't get a touch somehow, then the penalty happened.

Even worse is it was also the end for Ledley, it was that game where he started showing he couldn't struggle on any longer.

What's worse is, had Defoe tapped that ball in (or had Bale's cross been slightly more accurate), I'm sure we would have gone and challenge for the league title that season. We had so much momentum at that point of the season, and that was the match in which it suddenly got slowed down.

Same thing happened the season after that one (AVB's first)... we were on fire, couldn't stop adding points, then came the match at Anfield (the one we were winning 2-1 until Walker made a moronic mistake, and we also lost 3-2) and suddenly our title challenging form came to an end.

Back to 2016. I wonder if other fans want a City win to humiliate Spurs or a Spurs win to close the gap ?

Are you high? Bale's cross was from the heavens, just begging to be put in. Defoe just wasn't good enough to do it.

I was angrier when Drogba scored the pen that won Chelsea the Champions League and pushed us out. I had 3 very happy Chelsea supporting sons I couldn't speak to for 3 days.

You must be able to get some sort of help or counselling mate. We're all here for you in the meantime. Stay strong, one day at a time.

They'll claim they are happy, whatever happens.

I think most of them will want City to beat us though. The likes of United, Goons, Chelsea and Liverpool hate the idea of us as a title challenger. For some reason they all seem to think we are just lucky and have fluked our league positions for the last god knows how many years.

It's pretty laughable really but people don't generally like change when it affects them directly.

Also, we've not done it by being financially doped by some oligarch so they need to find other excuses and it's clearly harder for them to comprehend that we ain't going away any time soon.

Jesus Christ. It's like living in the same house as the guy your wife is cheating on you with. I remember when my daughter wanted to support Liverpool. Disowned her on the spot. Last I heard she was selling pegs by the motorway.

I think the angriest I've been at football was when Mendes's goal wasn't given at old Trafford.

Nothing beats the being 2-0 up against Arsenal and letting them back into win 5-2 under Redknapp. Absolute tactical fucking suicide with Redknapp sitting on his hands doing fuck all, that and then against a shit Villa side he bought on Scott Parker to replace VDV even though Arsenal had dropped 2 points against Norwich earlier in the day and a win would have put us back into 3rd, absolutely fucking seething, I couldn't believe it, I actually think that decision alone got him the sack.
That was the angriest I've ever been about football. We watched it be thrown away that day I still can't understand it

Angriest I've been was definitely Chelsea winning the Champions league. Punched a wall and stormed off to the local park, where I sat chain smoking for about two hours.
