Angriest I've been was definitely Chelsea winning the Champions league. Punched a wall and stormed off to the local park, where I sat chain smoking for about two hours.
Yeah. That one too. I got drunk & sat on my bathroom floor & wailed. But I was kind of expecting it & it wasn't in our hands - watching Harry willfully throw it away was unbearable

I guess lasagna gate was another one, but I was abroad at that time & not paying attention to football so it kind of passed me by at the time

Such a weird end to the season when Chelsea took our place. I was at the last game of the season against Fulham and it was a very muted atmosphere.

I downed my pint & started walking home with my dad, we were passing a chippy so I popped in, only to be told they didn't have any chips........ No chips.....seriously.......... You're a f@#king chip shop..!!! Anyway I went absolutely garrity I think the spotty 16 year old serving thought he was gonna get "battered" my old man had to drag me out...... Sometimes I can still be found shaking my head & mumbling "no f@#king chips" whilst slightly rocking.

As a group of fans we've definitely been through the mill.

I have still never got over that game. Cost us keeping Modric and probably Bale.

However this current team (especially Poch) may help.

I remember when I was eight that I watched us in Europe around 35 year a ago on tv, we got knocked out by sh!t team. My mates slaughtered me the next day at school, that I cried... I try and make sure now to let it upset too much... Still get angry now and then but only for a little why...

Yep. I got pissed off my skull that night, narrowly avoided a punch up with a Chelsea fan, remained genuinely angry and in a foul mood for about 2 weeks. I'm still bitter today...

The only thing it cost was £30 million, Modric and Bale were never going to turn down Real Madrid simply because we were in the CL.

Modric would have stayed if we were in champions League. Bale probably as well.

The thing is its one thing being in it but its another to have a chance of winning the CL. We werent ever going to win it, but Real Madrid were and since then have done.

So they would turn down Real Madrid who had consistent CL football and silverware to stay at Spurs a club that does not have consistent CL football and has only 2 trophies to its name in the PL era. I mean come on let's get real here, if Liverpool couldn't retain their best players with CL football why on earth would earth would anyone think that we suddenly could, especially given that the biggest club in world football was in for them?

Modric only wanted out because we weren't in champions league.

I have this issue in the Jamaican takeaway. It doesn't take a bad result to get annoyed

Can I have curry goat please?
No curry goat.
Can I have jerk chicken then?
No jerk today.
OK what about Curry chicken?
Yes.
Curry chicken, rice an peas then please.
No rice and peas left.

Read my above post about Modric. Imo Bale wanted to stay but no Champions League cost us. However we may not have been able to keep him.

I did and it is absurd, what you are essentially saying is that the CL puts us on the same level as Real Madrid which is somewhat laughable. He left because the biggest club in the world was in for him, a club that could offer the highest honours and the highest salaries. It has absolutely nothing to do with us not having CL football, he would have left even if we had it. I'm a Spurs fan and If I were a player I would even leave us if Madrid came in for us.

I'm not sure about Bale, but with Modric it was definitely the absence of CL football that made him desperate to leave. And we have plentiful rumours and ITK to the effect that he agreed to stay for the previous season on the basis that he could leave if we did not qualify for the CL. Equally to the point, had we qualified, Levy could simply have refused to sell him again.

But there's more to it than players leaving. Hazard was giving multiple "come and get me" interviews about how Tottenham was the place to be and it was plain that we were going to have a serious go at signing him. The Chelsea won the final and he immediately changed his tune and signed for them instead.

If you're talking about the consequence of not qualifying for the CL in 2011/12 then Bale left the season after anyway so he would have stayed for at least a season.
