Yet again our shit press picking on Ali, can’t remember them ever doing it to Gerrard who by his own admission was the same as Ali when he was young

I think they did. I definitely remember them doing it to Rooney numerous times. Especially when he was a kid at Everton.

But Rooney was busy getting caught with Brass of a pensionable age. All Alli has done is put in a few strong tackles.

The British sporting press is a particularly strange beast, as plenty of them are middle-aged booze hounds with questionable characters - and yet they're so quick to throw mud at kids for the slightest indiscretion. With great power etc...

Whats that got to do with anything?
Its about getting behind your team.
Do you not understand that?
Merry xmas.

Don’t let them stress you Slartibartfast ... I get 100% what you are saying. Home fans creating a hostile atmosphere, supporting their team and putting pressure on the ref ... exactly what good fans do! Surprised some of our own are being a bit difficult to a fellow Spur on Christmas Day!

They weren’t getting behind their team. They were booing absolutely every decision the referee made, even those which were clearly correct such as playing on after a perfectly timed challenge. It’s something we’ve all criticised when Everton have done in the past, and it’s not at all the same as getting behind your team in support. It’s immensely irritating and immature.

Oh come on. This is exactly what home fans should be doing. I’ve never got the Everton abuse. I’d fucking love it if we made all our home games as hostile. Anything us fans can do to put off the opposition or influence the ref should be done. That doesn’t mean we don’t also support the team but any half arsed pen appeal should be cheered for like its a stonewall and everything given against us should be booed the shit out of.

They weren't getting behind their team?
Sorry mate but I disagree.
Thats not what I heard on the tv. Yes they disputed decisions, who doesnt? But they were singing very loudly for most of the game. Even had a sing off against our fans regarding Alli which I thought was great by our fans.
I think that was loudest I've heard any fans on tv for a while and definitely the loudest for a team that were 3.0 down.
Most clubs would be quiet as fk, us included, and just groaning everytime one of their players lost the ball.
Anyway this is getting boring now.
Merry Xmas.

We especially need this at Wembley with the constant bus-parkers and time-wasters.

We need to be making as much noise as possible from the first minute every time they have a goal kick, throw in etc. to put the ref under pressure. Then as you say, any contentious decision needs to made out to be stonewall. We're far too nice at the minute and just let them get on with it but with our record and performances against the lesser teams, we really need to be giving ourselves more of a chance. Old Trafford can intimidate refs into giving them everything, we should be making Wembley, and NWHL, the same.

Spot on. The only difference is, he beat Dele to the ball.

His over reaction was pathetic. Davies got hacked and hurt more against Bardsley later in the game, he got straight up. The bloke involved with Dele 100% see who it was he was tackling and thought ‘I’ll get him sent off here’ imo, then pretended he was hurt when there was fuck all wrong with him. Dele took a bigger hit in the challenge

He also left his foot in which was much worse and not seen by the ref.
