Rawk takes some beating!

There’s a goon on that thread saying Kane can’t create chances for himself...it must be horrible to be some completely blinded by jealousy and hatred.

I love how they all forget to mention that Kane is 24 and already has two golden boots and 3 ( soon to become 4 ) consecutive 20+ league goals in a season under his belt.
Henry in comparison didn’t land his first golden boot or 20+ league goals in a season until he was 25
Van Persie didn’t manage over 20 league goals until he was late 20’s and only managed it twice in total yet you’ve got that goon rating him above Kane

Bless.

I really despise Liverpool fans and can not for the life of me understand the utter bolloxs they spout
I think if I was given a magic wand that could get rid of just one football club it would be them
I can not abide them and the utter shite they spout.
Fucking moronic twats I have yet to meet even one that you can have a football conversation with. :poop:

One of the best goals he's ever scored which he created for himself was against Arse in 2016.

Utter dipshits!

The British sporting press is a particularly strange beast, as plenty of them are middle-aged booze hounds with questionable characters - and yet they're so quick to throw mud at kids for the slightest indiscretion. With great power etc...

There was a point in the first 10 minutes yesterday where Alli won the ball off Boufal who clearly swung a leg at Alli. Alli made nothing of it and carried on with the game, the commentators didn't mention it at all, no replay. A bit later Alli goes past the Southampton left back and his shirt sleeve brushed past the guy's chin. Cue about ten slow motion replays with that miserable Gooner prick that's always on our games desperately trying to find an angle where he can accuse Alli of throwing an elbow.

Anyone still saying Kane isn't good enough, or isn't clinical enough, or those who still go on about how he speaks, are the slow ones in the class, either unable to grasp what they are seeing or choosing not to.

It’s weird. I remember absolutely loving Alan Shearer and Rooney when he was at his best. English forwards, up and around world class level. Club loyalties didn’t matter ( unless playing against us of course )

I suppose it might be different if they played for Arsenal but even then, come international games, I’d still support them 100% and want them to do well.

Here we have Harry Kane, who is a breath of fresh air in today’s game, and indeed popular culture itself. Everything is about image, reality tv and celebrating people with no talent ( wankers like the Kardashians, made in Chelsea/TOWIE etc ) Yet we’ve got Kane who has worked so hard at his game, he’s gone above and beyond the level of what anyone thought was capable. He’s respectful, quiet, lives a clean life etc, he’s the absolute perfect role model yet there’s people lining up to take a pop!

Nowadays you have so many bitter fans who just see what they want to and want literally everyone else to fail. Sad. Makes you wonder why they apparently follow the game, they must get next to no enjoyment from it.

Internet.

If social media was around when Shearer was at his peak he’d be getting pelters from jealous fuckers everywhere, especially Man U fans who hated the fact he preferred to play for his home town club instead of join them. How dare he.

Social media and internet forums have changed everything. There have always been ****s, it’s just now they have a platform for everyone to see/hear them whereas they were just the dicks that everyone used to ignore at work or school.

It's just funny watching them twist themselves into contortions of logic to try to persuade themselves that Harry Kane isn't all that good really.

Do you think they'd they say the same if he played for their club?

Do you think they'd argue that he's not as good as Robbie Fowler, Robin Van Persie, the fucking goal-fairy or whoever it is they idolise and now, deep in the recesses of their mildewed souls realise is being eclipsed by a better player?

No, is the simple answer.

Yes, around the time Alan Shearer was banging them in for Blackburn, Internet availability was primarily limited to Universities and colleges and the World Wide Web had only just been introduced.

The main platform for discussing football were UseNet newsgroups which probably had less than 1% of the subscribers that Twitter and Web based forums have now.

United fans always had it in for him since he snubbed them.

Yeah, I know plenty of United fans who utterly DESPISED Shearer - and only because he turned them down once!!! Glad they didn't have an internet voice back then and I just had to switch off and down a couple of drinks in the pub until they moved on to another topic...

I can understand the comparisons o Shearer, Henry and Fowler............but was Drogba's scoring record ever that fantastic? I think he only reached 20 league goals twice, and can't help thinking the legend of Drogba was far more impressive than the reality (not that he wasn't a great player of course).

In the match thread yesterday I made a point that there was one occasion when there was a 50/50 in the making.. I thought "Uh Oh here comes trouble" but Dele actually didn't go through with contact, it seemed to me that he knew if he did it would have been magnified so badly. He didn't bottle the challenge but I just thought that it was a wiser choice in that instance

Yeah they'r definitely gunning for
him. My Dads been moaning about it as he's notices it. He said if Alli had done a high foot like Kane received or the one in Wham Bournemouth game or Austin leaving his foot in he'd be strung up.

Drogba wasn't the most prolific scorer but his legend comes from being the ultimate big match player. The amount of cup final and other important goals he scored was incredible.

In the league it doesn’t look that great but look at his cup and European record. He has a better than 1 in 2 ratio in CL. He scored important goals too. Champions league winning penalty, winners in fa and league cup finals, etc. First player to ever score in four FA cup finals, first to score in 3 league cup finals. 4th biggest scorer in the clubs history. They also won back to back titles in his first two seasons, voted best player ever in fan poll

So yes, in a word.
