I've slagged Moss off previously, but he got both those penalty calls right (and the booking of Dele for diving). Some of the Mickeys can see that, but most of them don't seem to understand that if the ball comes off a Liverpool player last Kane is not offside. That is what ref's assistant keeps on saying - if Lovren doesn't touch it, it's offside, if he does touch it it's a pen. Eriksen says he did touch it. It's all very clear to anyone watching on screen (but not at the stadium). If the ones who are whinging watched on TV there is no justification in it - I think the ball might actually hit two Liverpool players before it goes through to Kane (but would need to see it again, TBH). The second one, I couldn't see anything initially and wondered why Lamela fell over. On the replay you can see that he is trying to shield the ball and VVD toe-punts him in the back of the thigh. To be fair, I don't believe van Dyke sees and deliberately kicks him. But that isn't the point.

But still they whinge. The media are saying Kane scored a controversial penalty - how is it controversial if van Dyke clearly toe-punts an opposition player, who is trying to control the ball, in the back of the thigh in the penalty area? And Klopp has went off in his presser that "the result was massively influenced by linesman decisions", " then a situation in the last minute like that? Wow. He wanted to be middle of interest and he is.", "It's hard to accept all the decisions today." The funny thing is, the linesman wasn't the primary mover in the first penalty - Moss gave it immediately. You can hear him telling Moss it is offside unless a Liverpool player has touched it [sic.]. It is Moss who decides it is a pen - presumably because he saw who the ball hit last before going through to Kane. You could hear the exchange clearly on TV. Will the FA come down on Klopp for his comments?

I like that's he's prepared for a ban

"I'm no expert on the offside rule but on Sky Dermott Gallagher (who we have to assume is) said because Lovren deliberately went to play the ball and made contact, Kane is therefore onside.

The rule might be nonsensical but it's the rule.

I also thought both were pens.

I also thought Spurs deserved at least the draw, and that they completely outplayed us in the second half.

I am worried now about top four.

There, I've said it all and I will accept the upcoming forum ban like a man.

Best part is this all happened under Moss' refereeing. Tonight on top of the Mane sending off against City (which I TOTALLY thought was a red card offense), he may just be Public Enemy No. 1.

It’s amazing because he usually gives us absolutely nothing. He actually had one of the best games I’ve seen him referee today.

Lol that’s cute of them. The Sky pundits were spunking themselves over Mo Salah getting to 20 goals quicker than any other Liverpool player...forgetting to mention that Kane had already got there.

The irony.

Harry on 20 and Salah on 19.
Harry still in front before pen.

If they want Harry as offside then Salah is offside before Dier's pass back.

I can't believe there's so much controversy about the penalty decisions

First one Karius admitted in his interivew after that he touched Kane, therefore obvious penalty

Second one Lamela has clearly been booted by Van Dijk. Yeah he was looking for it but he's been kicked, it's such a clear foul

That' amazing I can see tomorrow's headlines now

HARRY KANE IN RACIST EQUALISER
wtf ??

Herr E Kane goose steps to penalty equaliser!

Referee John Moss confesses that SturmOberFuhrer Daniel of the LL (Lewis & Levy) threatened to have his entire family and pet gerbil butchered if he didn't award Tottenham Penalties that were correct by the laws of the game.

Plucky little Liverpoo soldiersplayers left stranded at by-line waiting for flotilla of heroic Hackney cabs to ride to rescue following ruthless Tottenham Blitzkrieg.

Herr Klopp says: "It vas hell out thayer...ze Swissofficials are meant to be neutral, you know, but wenn ze Spurs players pouered over ze border into ze penalty area they var vorking for them...it var a massacre to be honest with you. Ja. ".

I thought the first comment was the rule, has it changed then? I'm so confused.
