It's amazing isn't it - they've literally decided that us beating City shows how good Liverpool are.

Because don't forget they won the game at the Lane 12-0 but the FA, who hate Liverpool, wouldn't let the result stand so they changed the score to 0-0, then they manipulated the footage of the game so that it looked like it was an evenly fought draw rather than the cocksure drubbing Liverpool really meted out to us.

Then they dubbed over the interviews after the game where Poch said Liverpool were deserved winners and he wishes he could be Klopp's number 2, but that he knows he's not good enough for Liverpool deep down. Plus they cut out the bit where Poch said Liverpool are the best team he's ever seen and revealed that Eriksen and Alli wish they'd joined Liverpool instead of Spurs, and only really went to Spurs for the money anyway, because (and the FA doesn't want you to know this) all the Liverpool players actually play for free and pay £4 subs every week to Klopp to be allowed to play.

The final straw was that they used those Men In Black memory wiping pens to replace all the memories of the Spurs fans who turned up to make them think it was actually 0-0, so that now only Liverpool fans know the real truth and everyone else is just part of a massive conspiracy.

FAO @Lemon - @Bobbins is joking. This didn't really happen (y).

Walker was actually good at the Euros. Also, since when do we all judge decent players playing in a terrible system within the national team over the course of a few matches, as opposed to an entire season at club level?

The irony of a Liverpool fan saying that media hype for us is crazy...

The thing is, while fans of every club think their football club is the best for whatever reason, Liverpool fans think their club operates on an entirely different level to every other club. It is as if they are the only true football club and all others, both here and overseas, are merely trying to recreate what they have already mastered. Therefore they resent the media giving any praise to any other club and almost always refuse to give out praise themselves - and when they do give out praise its very faint and has the overbearing caveat that Liverpool did it first and shall always do it better (even when they didn't). A great case in point is that clip of a Liverpool fan at Anfield shouting "5 times" to a Real Madrid player, only months after Real Madrid had won it for the 10th time!

Not at all. Chadli is exactly what they needed: a player who has the knack of scoring goals. West Brom have put together a workmanlike mid-table Premiership side, but it has lacked anyone who can score a goal when perhaps it isn't altogether straightforward to score a goal. Chadli has a tendency to drift out of play for 20 minutes at a time, but West Brom have players who can cover for that - and then he'll pop up in the right place with a shot on target. West Brom have plenty of competent players, but last season they couldn't score enough goals. Chadli scores goals.
It's called being facetious, but thanks for the explanation nonetheless (y)

The debate on RAWK continues and you know when a team is doing well, it's when the opposition fans want to see your manager join another club:

Don't think they are turd unless they are Mancs or the plastics. Their manager comes across as a decent guy. They have built their team the right way and they are a well run club. Good to see moneybags getting hit by a proper team. They will be up there challenging for the title. I will not be surprised to see the top-4 stays as such at the end of season only with the positions being different. I just hope some club from Spain poaches him :finger::finger:

Poch is the guy who Utd should've given the job to. Thankfully they aren't thinking long term and are only hoping for a quick fix.

They tried. He werent for budging which shows how much lustre has left United since Ferguson left

I think he was second choice behind Mou... Apparently they were under pressure to appoint a top manager especially since City appointed Pep

i fear its just a matter of time before they get him. lets be honest the clown in charge is one bad refereeing decision away from a complete meltdown. i expect poch to be their next manager once the overrated one gets sacked.

I was afraid they would get him as he would have solved their problems. An excellent manager and the one I'd go for if Klopp was ever to leave. :cautious:

Hope he gets poached abroad

United could still go for him if/when they sack Mourinho in the summer, but hopefully Pochettino will see no reason to move to a presently-inferior club and engage in yet another rebuilding of a squad. At Tottenham he is well into a project. Then maybe the following summer a big Spanish club will be interested. He would suit Atletico.

Obviously I have no idea how he think and feels about stuff like this, but the financial restrictions might be a possible reason for him to look elsewhere. Right now it's not a big think I guess, but in a successful future where Spurs is constantly challenging for league and CL it would. So the question is then, will he accept Man Utd or will he for certain be off to Spain?

He has no loyalty whatsoever and will be off at the first chance he gets at a bigger club

As well as playing us and City at home, they've also played formidable teams like Stoke, Middlesbrough, Palace, Sunderland, and title challengers Everton. Oh the sarcasm...

As I said, a nonsense to think they'd drop off completely without Kane. They're a side three years into their development and look very good for it. Can't see them finishing outside the top four whatsoever unfortunately. Arsenal, Chelsea or United on the other hand? Very much so.

Very good performance yesterday, made City look very ordinary at times. Clearly one of the top teams in the league. Their defense is very solid and you can tell rest of their team feels that.

Best i've ever seen that club play. I feel we're better in attack, and they're better at the back, pretty close though. Not really that close; they are MUCH better at the back than us; however this is in a league where defending doesn't matter that much.
I also think LFC are more likely to score 3 or 4 goals on any given day than Spurs, let's see how those days are distributed and how Spurs cope when they are deep in the Champions League mix.

yup, with both teams run by quality managers and have an array of talent. even if i take off the red tinted glasses, i do feel our side has overall better quality

They have been steady and good so far this season with yesterday being the highlight so far. They clearly have a very solid defence, athletic midfield and a fantastic manager. With a similar pressing style to ours I think they will struggle with the sheer number of games they will have this season. Their squad is not particularly deep if they are going to come unstuck this will be where I think it will happen. To be fair they have coped well without Kane but lose one or 2 of their midfielders and they could struggle (Yikes, imagine what would happen if we lost Dier or Dembele and even worse, at the same time).

They'll fall. Pochettino is flavour of the month on here for some reason. What's all this "Poch" bollocks? Nauseating. I'm more worried about what to have for tea tonight than I am about these. Danny fucking Rose haha! Deary me. Fucking shite.

You sound like the fans of other teams who trot out those sorts of quips about Henderson or Lallana because all they watch is MOTD. There's a decent chance that Pochettino has turned Rose from a pretty average at best left back into a pretty decent one. Here's a hint: He has.

No he hasn't. Keep your pants dry for fucks sake.

Rose is a very good left back. Sometimes it's impossible to praise other players/teams on RAWK without being branded a 'bedwetter' or whatever. Spurs are looking very good right now, they might collapse, they might not, but their defence is incredibly solid and they're scoring without Kane in the team. Missed Dembele and Dier as well against City but still didn't have any problem beating them.

They're just a really good unit and actually remind me a little of Atletico, difficult to break down and usually win by the odd goal.

I think they'll comfortably finish top 4 again to be honest, they're very good at the back and Son has come in nicely for Kane at the moment. Pochettino has them running like a well oiled machine, they need to hang onto him.

I'd say now is the optimal time to place a bet on Spurs to finish 5th or lower. Relatively small squad, more sprints per game than usain bolt, this feels like their annual high tide where everyone marvels at what a businessman Levy is. Now, friends would tell you this means bet the house on Spurs

The Sissoko transfer screams of a panic buy when he clearly needed another body that saw them spend £30 million on a squad player and according to my Spurs mates put him on an excessive salary (for Spurs) of £90k per week thereby disrupting their wage structure. Not knocking Spurs and I think they will comfortably finish in the top three but their summer business wasn't ideal 'cos it's Levy.

Does anyone know if we are the football hipsters club in Spain Italy or france etc...

A bit like Atletico and Dortmund are in the UK?
lol well I can tell you that in France, No.

In fact I don't think you get hipsters here. Not where I'm from anyway

Chelsea is the team of choice for chav ghetto-rats from the banlieu though. Their uniform is a Chelsea tracksuit - I don't know why. Maybe because of Chelsea's anti-Semitic reputation

I WANT PROOF HE TOOK OFF HIS RED TINTED GLASSES!!
It's as if 'quality' doesn't include world class defensive players - our entire back 6 (Lloris Walker Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose Wanyama) from the weekend would walk into their side. But I suppose that's not quality, because that would defeat his argument.

That's the line he's / all of them have been fed... We are not going to defend, just attack, attack...

...attack attack attack!

To be fair they're right in that the standards of defending among the top teams have nosedived over the last 5-10 years, but what they're failing to realise is that's exactly why we're doing so well. Yes we only score one or two a game, but in a league where no-one can defend properly, the team which is yet to concede a goal from open play is unsurpisingly a point off top spot, despite having scored less than anyone else in the top 4.

I love how Liverpool supporters claim they have a better attack than us but then forget the amount of goals we scored last season...we were hitting teams for 3-4 numerous times.

Liverpool look better in attack because we aren't even anywhere near our best yet, once Kane comes back and starts firing them in then they can talk.

Charlie Nicholas that Arsenal wum had an article up today on how he has "reevaluated" his decision on who will finish top four, initially he has us out of it.

Well he replaced United with us, he has us finishing fourth behind Liverpool, Arsenal and City.

He thinks it will be 1.City 2.Arsenal 3.Liverpool 4.Spurs, I don't know if he has noticed but Liverpool leak goals for fun and over the course of an entire season that costs you far more points than any number of goals make up for.

Also, they have been given 3 pens in 3 games, all of which were suspect.

I just want to add, that if I had a choice Liverpool would be the team I would love to see relegated before any other in this league and the mere though of the insufferable wankers finishing above us makes me want to vomit lol, the fans are the absolute worst, the entire club has a level of delusion running through it unheard of before, it's like a circle jerk cult.

Goals win matches. Defences win titles. Wenger's initial sides with Adams/Keown/Campbell/Toure. Jose's original Chelsea side. The Vidic/Ferdinand United side. The greatest sides have the greatest defences.

what is it with Liverpool fans......acknowledging that another club have a good team and are playing well does not diminish the value of your own team and their strengths.

It is actually possible to believe that Liverpool, City and Spurs are all good sides simultaneously and all have a good shot at the title this year.....FFS, when are they going to GROW UP?

At what point is this guy going to start worrying?

I've got a feeling we could win the league every year for a decade while Liverpool suffer back to back relegations and he still wouldn't be worried.

"Eh, I'm not worried about Spurs, mate. That's for bedwetters. We're Liverpool football club. Who cares that they won the title ten years in a row? There's only one statistic that matters in football, and that's who played a bit better in the first half of a 1-1 draw in 2016"

I actually think Liverpool have a lot to prove. Arsenal look the better side to me so far actually, surprised there's been so little talk about them.
