Work has been hilarious today. Of all the teams something like this could happen to, Liverpool fans are surely the most entertaining. I showed the linesman's view of VVD's kick to them and one literally said "it looks like it was a kick from that angle but it wasn't" :ROFLMAO:

Nobody brought up the fact that they were given a dodgy penalty for Firmino tripping over himself at WHL outside the box to get them a draw last season?
They keep saying Lamela was offside so vvd kick didn't matter.
You can't be offside from a throw in but they conveniently forget that.
VVD is even in most papers saying Lamela dived
Really you lying prick?

the only real downside to yesterday is, if only Kane had put the 1st pen away, and then if they did manage to get an equaliser for us to then get the 2nd pen. now that would of put RAWK in meltdown for months, god that would of been so much more fun

I can't believe it was only yesterday - the amount of whining I've heard makes it feel like it was at least a month ago.

TBH I'm expecting one of those change.org petitions so this injustice can be discussed in parliament.

I’ve been to see hundreds of live games over the last 30 years and it’s very rare for a linesman to actually take some responsibility for anything other than an offside decision.

Usually they just take the “nothing to do with me guv” attitude, even though the crowd know they would have seen something.

It was brave, but should be the norm. After all, they are ( or should be) as aware of all the rules as the referees.

A lot of that has to do with the referee. Some refs, through insecurity or whatever, don't want the ARs to make any calls because the center ref feels it may make him look bad. Good center refs, IMO, provide the guidelines for their ARs to make the calls when the CR is blocked from view especially. By the way, by the time refs get to this level most are either CRs or ARs at their top level but not both so I expect that the AR will continue being just a very good "linesman".

I imagine Suarez would have had a lot of those, can you imagine how high they'd be on this list if any refs had had the balls to call out Saint Stevie?

We've has bad decisions go against us in the past, some of the worst in the game. Mendes and Nani handball spring to mind. It's as if they've never had a bad decision go against them, the meltdown is the best ever. What's even funnier is they were the correct decisions

They are still bitching about it on RAWK. Even with Refs coming out and explaining why Kane wasn't offside he was in their opinion still offside :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Wait, does everyone with Jewish ties support Spurs? No wonder we keep upping the new stadium capacity.
