On the otherside it's also pretty easy to lose it.

I'd say he's a successful businessman

Well he's demonstrated success and failure in his time. He's more used to failing though and has been bailed out on more than one occasion.

So given the mega rich start he was gifted with, i tend to disagree. But then i do dislike him intensely so I'm probably just biased. :D

Pep again praising our full backs and Alli. Got a feeling he'll make a bid for all three in the summer. He's right, they're exceptional players. We should be doing everything to keep them.

I hope no one wants to leave, which is to say I hope we don't sell unless we're upgrading

Thread on why Burnley got a better result against Chelsea than us:

I might be wrong but i got the impression we tried to compete with spurs yesterday in footballing terms as opposed to containing them like we did with chelsea arsenal and liverpool at home, that being the first half.with their injuries i thought we would get something from the game in the second half, but then we just kept giving it the big boot and giving them the ball back, hendrick gifted them a goal doing exactly that! That said nothing ventured nothing gained we were odds on to lose anyway. It will be back to basics on tuesday and hopefully defour and brady will play...I think to be fair to all our players they did their best against a very good side....the best team seen at turf moor this season.imo

1, Spurs were the best side I have seen this season. They matched Burnley for battling qualities and finished us of with there extra skill in the last quarter. Their midfield always in space and intelligent passing. We were lucky Kane was injured.
2. They have a top manager/coach. I thought their injuries might distrupt them, but they have a squad where everyone is at ease and knows whats required.
3. Some of our players had , not for the first time, have lost focus being away during the international break.

Nice to see opposition fans speaking with respect about us for once, instead of the usual delusional bollocks from the likes of Liverpool and United fans etc.

From a football point of view we're as good as any team in the league so the players can achieve their goals if they give this project time to mature.

Unfortunately money talks and people are easily swayed.

Where are those quotes mate?

Keeping those 3 here and away from Man City is more important than signing anyone IMO so we certainly should be doing everything we can.

He supposedly wants to buy English players these summer, so no wonder he has an eye on Walker, Rose and Alli.
Could we lose one of them - possibly
Could we lose all three - not a chance in hell

We really shouldn't be losing any one of them. They are all vitally important to the way we play and I like that we have a good english base to the team too.

I'd rather spend money keeping these players than buying new ones. I know the club are in a difficult position with wages already at 50% of turnover but surely the move to Wembley and subsequent move to new Lane will see turnover increase. The need for stability is even greater during this time.

I guess it all depends on their motivation...if it's money then they could be off. If its winning silverware, then again, they could be persuaded as we've not one anything for a while. If they want to be part of something special, that's developing nicely, has an exciting future with a bit of patience thrown in...then we won't see any of them leave.

Besides - we are still in with a good shout of some silverware this season. There is going to be so much media stirring this summer, it anyone's guess as to what might happen. I'd like to think nobody will be sold this summer, especially not to a PL team.

Those 3 will cost a fortune. North of 200m in my opinion. I can't see it happening personally.

I don't think so, either. Although I think they will try very hard for Rose and Walker. IMO City need both more than Alli. I am expecting/hoping Levy tells them to do one. We must keep this team together.

Levy will not sell key players unless they force a move. However, it's getting very close to the point where Levy will have to catch up with the times and reality and start paying competitive wages if he wants to keep top players.

I think this has always been Levy's aim, and the stadium has always been seen as a key component in achieving this, but we are still probably 2 summers away (3 if we somehow don't get Champs League football for next season) from being able to realise that ambition.
