By taking on so much debt on players they couldn't afford they ended up in League 2?My bad, clouded memory.
How the hell did Portsmouth make two FA cup finals in 3 years?

The Everton game was really hard to take. Our name was on the cup. Klinsmann was meant to lift it. We won at Anfield in the previous round IIRC.
Pompey...FFS - Spursy
Chelsea 5-1 - words cant describe
Football loves a David v Goliath fairytaleDavid James got away with the most blatant penalty at 1-0 as well, absolutely wiped out one of our players then turned to the camera with a 'how the fuck did I get away with that?' smirk on his face.

Massive Pompey fan I work with says with hindsight he still wouldn’t change things, he’s used to Portsmouth being a smaller club and a bit yo-yo, he’ll remember winning the FA cup forever.
I'm not going to say what I was going to say... I'll get shouted at
You think Ty is a bit of a hunk?I'm not going to say what I was going to say... I'll get shouted at

Someone told me we lost a semi final versus Newcastle in 1999 and I couldn't remember it.
I had no recollection of it what so ever and for someone who prides himself of knowing everything Tottenham, it brought great shame to me personally.
I can only think it brought me so much pain after the Everton defeat, that I just blanked it out of my brain or I'm just past it.
Still can't believe we lost to Newcastle.
I've been following Spurs since '81 and all those results really hurt. However, for some weird reason, I have no memory of that 5:1 Chelsea match at all. It must have been so horrific that I have erased it from my mindThe Everton game was really hard to take. Our name was on the cup. Klinsmann was meant to lift it.
